this is my 2nd controller thats been broken on madden... 1 last year on 05' and yesterday labbin with iamonebigmofo... if broke anohter one.. same thing as last year.. the hitstick... i use it soo much and it just pops outa socket.. lol GOOD thing i bought insurence from EBgames... phewyl... saves me some dough...

a 3rd has died but that was becuase last year my baby puked while she was on my lap and it destroyed the controller ... lol that dosnt count.. lol

I shattered a PS2 controller, it was that or the wall..........

I haven't broken a controler yet.

I have one where the left analog stick is a bit loose... still works but just doesn't feel quite right.

Then my second one the right analog stick when I press down sometimes it clicks a bit harder the first time or so.

Oh well, I think I have like 5 of these things lying around, so I'm ok till the PS3 comes out :)

just had an idea, the day before christmas i think i'll go play some madden and if i lose an online game i'll shatter the controller, who cares i'll have an xbox360 in 24 hours

The Slate Grey Controller has passed away from natural causes. Worked OK Tuesday night, then Wednesday night, I plugged him in and he just laid there in the carpet with his analog red light twitching and then it happened, the red analog light just faded away and then the paddle vibrated for the last time and passed away on the carpet with crumbs and finger nail clippings next to him. I ran over in movie slow motion and got down on my knees and put the controller in both of my hands, raised them high in the air and cried:

"WHY EA? WHY MAKE MADDEN SO ADDICTING THAT I HAVE TO LOSE THE ONE I LOVE"

Then I remembered, I got insurance from Best Buy so I tossed the PS2 paddle out the window on the freeway, copped another one and kept it moving!

do you guys have roid rage or something, are you that upsest with this game when something doesnt go your way you cant accept it and have to smash something and the controller is the quickest and easiest u can smash?
it is very sad how you guys are that upsest with a VIDEO GAME

NAW, my son and that dag gone Dragon Ball Z game, when the wto fighters get into some matrix type of fight, you have to use the R3 L3 buttons and go in circles and by the time I get home, sit down to play Madden and as soon as I'm about HIT STICK THE SHIZZLE out of somebody, it happens, poor R3 just limps over to the side like "Hey, I need a V8"

If you actually bothered to read the posts you'd realise that only one person mentioned breaking a controler from frustration.

Everyone else just had one go due to over use.
