Is there a "create-a-recruit" option? And also, I have experienced this glitch in the game. Sometimes when I am playing, the player that I control sometimes slide over and I cant control the player. Has anyone else experienced this glitch?

Yes you can create a prospect for off-season recruiting only, just make sure you do it before recruiting starts. This year you can actually make up prospects with 99 speed rather than 95 max.

The glitch you speak of is just your analog stick getting stuck. All you have to do is pause the game and move your left analog stick around a bit and you shouldn't have the problem anymore.

I usually just unplug the controller. It happens at the worse times.

Does anyone actually create recruits?

I've tried but the always never seem to come to your school. What's worse is the go to your rival and come back to clown you. I created a "Mike Vick".....never do that again. I couldn't stop him. Good luck if it works for you.

Here is a trick for getting around that. After you create the recruit, save the dynasty. Do this BEFORE going to the recruiting. All you have to do is advance to recruiting, and if the player is not interested just exit and load the dynasty again. It regenerates the colleges each player is interested in every time you advance from the "players leaving" to recruiting stages so eventually he might want to go to your school if you keep trying.

Also, if you make him from the same state as your school that helps alot.

But if you have a sucky coach and/or school and your recruit is a blue chipper its not likely to ever happen.

Here's the ULTIMATE trick to getting the "create-a-recruit" of your choice:

Cheese Level rating: (1-10 with 10 the highest): 10 :D

Create your desired player as a Kicker or Punter. However, give him the attributes of the position you want him to play and completely ignore increasing his KP or KA ratings. (ex. if you want him to play QB, give him the necessary ratings for spd, tha, thp, awr, etc. but do nothing to his kick ratings). Also, for a bit of added insurance, make his hometown the same as your school's hometown. Makes sending the house in recruiting less expensive.

Your created recruit will be a low rated 1 star kicker/punter with little to no interest at all from any schools that are worth anything. Send the house at him and it's almost guaranteed you will sign him. Once he's on board and you reach the change position area of the offseason, change his position to the desired position you meant for him to play and his ratings will change to reflect the position you moved him to. (ex..comes in as a 45 rated kicker, changes to 85 rated QB)

Again, very cheesy indeed, but saves the possibility of frying your PS2 from repeated reloads...LOL

I did that. I got most of my recruits, but some did go to other schools. The funny thing is that they were so bad at their positions, they got cut. I will use it again when I am finished with this season...

lol...I didn't factor in what would happen to the lowly rated recruit if he signed somewhere else. I guess that balances it out and makes sure no other team gets your stud prospect...lol
