wow, the sad thing is that if you simmed your whole season and he ran for 1800 yards, he probably would have won the heisman.

i ran for like 3000 the first year and 2500 so far in my second and i was on the top of the list last year, and then they gave it to my linebacker who was THIRD on the list because he made so many sacks

i know i wont be playing this game anymore if i lose again, its pointless to have this race for the heisman if you cant win the heisman.

I won two Heismans using the Vols. I won the first season with Gerald Riggs (I redshirted my created running back recruit) and then I won it in the second year with my guy as a redshirt freshman. He had like 2100 yards rushing, 500 receiving and 36 total touchdowns. BUT, I had better stats during his sophomore and junior seasons and was pretty much ranked #1 from wire to wire during both of those years and never won it.

I've won it twice in dynasty mode with Darius Walker, but I've gotten screwed out of it more than I've won it.

and to not win it if you do the best is STUPID, i just watched the qb from florida win it and i had almost as many rushing yards as he had recieving and i stomped him in TD's, i quit this game its stupid, time to play the warriors some more and when i want to play football again play blitz the league.

Its funny. My impact QB was number 1 in race for the heisman 2 years in a row and 2 years in a row my impact WR won it. I aint mad tho... :D

My experiences were the opposite. I started playing with Penn State and Derrick Williams (WR) put up sick numbers his freshman and sophomore years and won it both times. I actually thought the CPU was pre-disposed to give it to one of my (human controlled) players.
I recently started another dynasty but so far my team has been pretty poor so I would not have thought I had a chance to win it. This current season I have a decent RB who is tearing it up so hopefully he will at least get an invite (currently after 5 games he is listed as the frontrunner).
I figured there is some sort of formula that allows them to compare across positions but I certianly have not figure it out.

I only played one year on RFTH and my RB won, he became an impact player 3 games into the season rushed for 2000 yds, but he also had about 200-300 receiving yds with several receiving tds. I also did not lead the league in number of carries. Maybe that helped along with making some reception TDs.

See 2001 too. Grossman should've won hands down.

Down boy! Bad dog!!!
Fresno has NEVER beaten Hawaii at Hawaii. Brennan and the offense is hitting it's stride so there's no reason to expect differently.
"Brennan to Bess....touchdown!!"
"Brennan to Grice-Mullen...touchdown!!"
You'll be hearing that all day long.

'97? Wasn't that Charles Woodson's year? No screwjob there--her EARNED that Heisman!
As for the Dynasty Mode Heisman, I won it with Justin Forrest in my first year as Cal's coach with only 1700 yards. The thing I noticed in 2004 and 2005, and I guess now with 2006, is that you gotta get TD's. I had 34 TD's with Forrest--and I had Sam D. in the running midway, and he had less than a 1000 yards recieving, but he had 20 TD's (7 on punt returns).
Neither one was on the pre-season watchlist, either.
Gotta get to "the paint" if you want the Heisman.

What you have to understand about the Heisman is that it is like the MVP in the NFL. If you are ona team the sucks, you're not gonna win. Look at it this year. Good chance Reggie Bush will win, but Brian Calhoun (WIS) has more rushing and recieving yards and rushing and recieving TDs. But he won't win. Same with Maurice Drew-Jones (or Jones-Drew). If the Heisman was won entirelly on stats, Division I-AA players would win every year (See 2002, Adrian Peterson {THE Adrian Peterson of GASO} had 2500 yards rushing and 25 TDs and was a finalists but obviously wasn't invited or even thought about for the most part).

division 1aa has its own version of the heisman; the Walter Payton Award
