So I just got this game and I want to do a fantasy draft. In last years games I loved drafting young players and developing them. So I wanted to know, should a draft an amazing defense and a young offense and let them develop? Or should I draft a great offense and a young defense?

In my limited experience, I have found that a young defense progresses slightly faster, however you will need to have some good veterans on both sides of the ball to mentor all of the young players and help them along. I would suggest starting with a really good #1 receiver so your rookie qb can have someone who can catch and maybe 2 really good offensive lineman, to take the pressure off of the running back and qb and one or two good solid defenseive lineman and a really good db to keep things 'level' and let the players around them adjust. Sprinkle in the youth around them and it should be ok. Make sure you do the training camp, young players need that edge a lot. Post your findings once you start going along through the year. I'd be interested to see if I know anything at all. :)

I think that is a great draft. You should see good progression out of the ones I starred. Especially Suggs, he is a BEAST! And Gates is a steal, his salary is one of the lowest. I think you have a good balance there. Dunta Robinson is very good and always progressed nicely for me, along with Suggs who is just nasty. I'm not familiar with the other players aside from the studs. So if your starters do well, even those who sit behind them will progress to a point and be ready to take over when you need to. You have a great team there I think. Remember that the progression period is after week 5, week 11 and week 17, plus each week of the playoffs except for the Wild Card, so post the progressions as well.

Instead of posting every four games, I will just post after every progression week. That will be easier.

Are you going to be playing the games or simming? Is this console or PC version?

If you're playing them you'll find you'll be able to progress a lot faster. I am not experienced in this, as I play the pc version, but opthers can tell you how to switch player's positions to make them fit better and gain more overness. Hopefully someone who knows more about this and how to recognize who will be better in another position will reply.
