Stats junkie needs help

I'm wondering if anybody can tell me if there is a way to download yearend stats, and recruiting from a PS2 to my computer. Right now I take the stats down manually and it kills me. Also, is there a way to capture screen shots of a certain play/player and download that to my computer.

Actually, there would be a way. Would you be willing to put in the time that
it requires?

It involves getting a hex editor, and experimenting around until you find out
what each number means, and going from there.

Once you know what each number means, and where the offsets are, you
could write code to extract the data into meaningful information.

I know that is probably not what you were looking for, but I have thought of
doing this before, but I wonder if I would play enough dynasty seasons to
get my time back for it?

I mean, if it takes 100 hours to develop this (wild guess, probably more or
less) and, I only play like 10 seasons, and it takes about two hours each
season to record the data, then 20 hours vs. 100 hours just doesn't fly.

See my point?

A utility you made for something like this (dynasty file data extraction)
would have such a small niche market, it'd have to be freeware/shareware
to get any sort of market penetration. Even then, the number of people
who would actually use it would still be a very small number, as a small
subsection of game players possess sharkports and maxdrives, or other such
devices, etc.

Or, I could look at it from the point of view of just being a nice guy and
doing something for others?

Hrm, have we ever questioned EA to see if they'd be willing to cough up the
data offsets so we wouldn't have to go through this drudgery?

Thanks for the analysis. I was hoping something was already out there. Unfortunately I can't write code. My wife has a degree in programming but she already thinks I waste time with the game. I would say it is unlikely I could get her to put in about 100 hours of writting code to make my stat gathering easier.
