This game mode sucks, I hope it isn't on next years and just concentrate on Franchise...which needs major help.

Maybe Madden will make two games next year. A Madden NFL 07, and a Madden Super Star Edition. I Think this is the only way this game mode could be more fun. They need to make it so you have total control over your player, now I'm not saying that I want to tell him to go to the bathroom. What I am saying is I'd like to be able to spend some of that hard earned cash I have, more interveiw, have the game (your team) react to the answers you give in these interveiws. If you're a team player your teammates and coaches treat you with respect. If you're a butthole (like T.O.) you can get suspended or even traded.
I'd also like to see more control of his life outside of football. Maybe be able to go out partying with other teammates, maybe get some femal companionship. What do you guys think? If you could do any of this stuff would it help?

nope, that would suck, might as well play the sims....
I'm amazed at how many people play the francise mode and the other crap
game modes in Madden, year after year. I've only played the CPU maybe
3 or 4 times in 06, on All-Madden - and blew the cpu out each time. It's
not fun, or challenging. Online/Head to Head competition is the only way
to go. All the other games are a waste of memory.

GAV I have to completely disagree with you...I find Franchise mode to be very challenging if you look at it a certain way..if you look at it in the way that you don't Fantasy Draft, and take a team like the Bears or Texans and try to make them a Super Bowl power house (Simming the games) it can be quite the challenge in building up your team with trades, draft picks and such..
Johnnyhonda I have to agree with you 100%. If you had more control of your SS outside of the on the field action it would be a lot better..and if your actions off the field affected your relationship with teammates and coaches while on the field then you should be suspended or traded that is part of the NFL you can't just take that away...

i think that superstar mode is fun to a certain point. i played two SS at the same time and after two seasons of both of them i just got burned out...there are so many practices that its hard to stay in the game mindset. i like the fact that you can build your player, but you can also do this in franchise mode by creating your own player. PLUS you can pick more specifics in franchise mode than in SSmode. SSmode is good for honing your skills at a position but once you learn the reads for that position, it gets a little boring because you can have 20 tackles, etc, a game and it becomes a little monotonous in my opinion.
as for EA putting out two separate games next year for the same title, i highly doubt that this will happen. maybe they will, but since they have no other competition in the football arena right now, i doubt they will waste time on the football market since they have this area locked up. at least for the next few years anyway.
i guess my point for this post is, you shouldn't expect a whole lot of extras in the NFL region of EA's products because people are going to buy Madden no matter what its like because of its name, and the fact that there will be no other sim style football games(NFL) coming out from anyone else, anytime soon. EA will get its money even if noone in the Madden community is 100% happy with their product for years to come.

Here are some more ideas, more interviews between games, more things to star in ( other than movies like other EA video games), maybe a pregame interview and ahve how you answer the questions effect how your fans procieves you. I don't know man, what ever you think I think we agree that this part of the game needs more. What ever more means, whether it's more control of the team or more control of the caracter that you play. Yous deside lets hear it. Come on don't be shy.

What I was trying to say is, that even though EA Sports are the only guys making NFL football games that doesn't mean that they can slack off. They should use these next couple of years to make great NFL games. I know they can do better on there sstar mode. I would like to see more done with there sstar mode and there's at least one person out there that agrees with me. (Thanks JacobGreider) So I'm not the only one.

GAV,
I absolutely LOVE franchise mode. I don't play any of the games, I sim them all. It's all the other intricacies of franchise that I love. Managing the salary cap, making good trades and getting good players in the draft. Building and maintaining a powerhouse squad. I like to start with the Fantasy Draft and do a realistic type draft and go from there. My usual goal is to get to the SB within the first 5 years. It's just a different feel from the head to head play, which gets tiring after a while.

My little brother does this too. It just doesn't excite me.

I don't remember exactly. Its been a while since I've played the cpu.
I generally pick a world league team, and play a pro team.
The CPU on any level, just sucks.

Gav, can you really dominate in franchise with just a cupcake/europe team on all madden. Holy Crap.

I've never played an entire francise, but in a quick game - yeah.
The computer's A1 is awful, even on All-Madden.
Its just not challenging at all. Just use running to set up quick routes
and the flats, then mix in PA. Rinse and repeat. The cpu never adjusts
to anything for long. It has such a limited memory.

Nah. Not really. There are lots of guys on this site that can beat me.
I'm good, but we have MC Winners/Contenders here. I still haven't
been able to beat Warren even once. The computer just suck$.

exactly,
lob and loop the WR in single coverage, curl in deep coverage, then PA to your FB in the flats if the cpu SOMEHOW figures you out. Im not too great online but I can beat the cpu easily by 30 on all madden consistantly.

Another thing I've noticed is that moving guys on D, pre-snap - really
confuses the CPU's QB A1. With the right set-up and play-calls, the QB
just throws the ball at my defenders over and over.

against the cpu honestly i just use Punt block zone and PM two guys to the buzz zones, 1 guy in a middle deep zone and the rest in hooks. CPU ALWAYS lobs it vs this and its an easy user pick.

LOL. That's really funny, but I believe you. Cats need to know online is
where its at. Franchise Mode is like the Pee Wee Leagues. Just for kids.

pro and all pro are good steps before all madden simply because you need to know how to follow your blocks and what coverages are what
