I remember a few weeks ago I posted that last year I player the San Diego Chargers and they had their punter playing guard for the whole game. Well, it happened again last night. I was playing the Bengals and they had their punter playing right tackle. :confused:
I looked at their depth chart. They did have a lot of offensive linemen injured, but there seemed to be one not playing who could have been. They had three centers, all uninjured, and two were playing. I feel bad for the third guy, thinking the coach would rather play the punter at RT than him! That hurts.
It comes down to two things I guess. One being the screwed up way the game has of managing rosters and drafting/signing players. Second would be the order which the computer selects replacements once the depth chart is out the window. Why would the punter even be on the radar of options at RT? You would think maybe a DT or even TE would be a better idea. Heck, ANYONE would be better than the punter. Except maybe the kicker.....
Also, while I am complaining, does anyone remember a few years back when we had a much wider option of players to put in at different positions? You could put a WR in at QB or HB, you could play offensive players on defense and vice versa. I used to love putting defensive players on offense when the game got out of hand, that was a lot of fun. I play on xBox now, back then I played on PC. Can you still do this on PC? If not, why did they change it? That is one thing I wish they would bring back. I liked having 2 way players.
