Dilemma

Sould I wait for Madden on PS3 to come out or go ahead and get the Madden 06 on Xbox 360?

I don't seee what the dilemna is. Just as with the current gen, Madden will be the same exact game on both systems (for all intents and purposes).

I can see why you may want to wait until the 07 version drops, but if you're waiting to see how the PS3 version is then compare.... c'mon now. If anything, the 360 will have a leg up as the dev teams will have more experience coding for the 360 than they will for the PS3.

Just my opinion, but I think it's pointless to wait for only God knows how long for a PS3 version to compare. I'd be surprised if the PS3 and a 07 version of Madden are ready come Augutst. I mean, when is the PS3 even supposed to launch here in the States? Word on the street is that the PS3 launch is slipping further and further back.

i wouldnt buy that worthless junk that Microsoft has put out. Its a great console don't get me wrong, but there QA people are really bad. Hardware is still in no comparison better than your avg computer with a 120 dollar graphics card. As for the leg up, you better believe that Sony is laughing about how bad Microsoft marketed and distributed their product. The first xbox was a loss for them.. this will be just the same..

Oh and by the way.. I don't have xbox, or ps2.... I have not bought a console since ps1... so I am not playing favorite here.. I am almost 90% positive I wont be buying a ps3. So that just shows I am not biased

I buy them all, so I'm not biased either. However, how so many people forget that the PS2 launch was very much the same. Shortages everywhere, DRE's, laser problems, hardware completely dying.

The original psx was bad with freezing and dying too. These hardware problems are not exclusive to Microsoft. Shoot, I'd have to say the most reliable hardware since the Atari 2600 would have to be the Dreamcast. Even Nintendo had issues with the nes not reading cartridges.

Besides, this thread isn't about 360 vs PS3 hardware style. The guy was asking whether or not he should get Madden now or wait for the PS3 version.

Well there won't be a PS3 version of Madden until August of next year. This will be Madden 2007 and will pretty much be the same on both PS3 & Xbox 360 if EA holds true to form.

So the real question is can you wait until next August to play Madden Next Gen. If so, then pick whichever console you want.

If you can't wait until then, you'll have to buy an Xbox 360.

Bert, that is IF, big IF, Sony actually launches on time. They are saying spring launch - but that could easily be for Japan only. I have read stuff that forecasts a US launch in time for Thanksgiving 2006... (You CAN believe everything your read on the internet, right??)

Exactly. I still haven't seen a rock hard date for PS3 yet.
