I made a team and am currently in the WAC....I have won 3 or 4 NC and all the bowl's I have been to since I started. For some reason they never ask me if I want to get into a better conference.....any ideas why not?????

I was playing/simming as SMU and built the 'Stangs into a 6-star team that was consistantly ranked in the top 10. Best I could do with the C-USA was play in the Liberty Bowl.

It took something like 15 seasons and 4 or 5 national titles to get an invite into the Big 12.

I think I didn't get an earlier invite is that I had two losing seasons right off the bat when Baylor was still horrible. Well, By the time I got SMU to be very good, Baylor had developed into a 3-star team. The B12 wasn't going to drop them at that point.

Someone on a message board mentioned that to get an invite to a larger conference two things have to happen. Your team has to be very good and two teams from the conference must be bad. Not sure why it has to be two teams or if that is even true.

What I did was take control of Baylor and run down their team. They went winless for three years and I still didn't get an invite, so I took over Oklahoma State (also a 3-star) and tried to run them down, but got fired after a 1-11 first season. A few years later SMU finally got the invite.

Maybe that helps... maybe not...

Sounds good. I yet again won the NC and uet still no love. I think I am in 2011 or 2012. I will continue to dominate people. The problem I keep having is because I am in the WAC and all the teams except for me and sometimes Boise State aren't very good...I always get jacked on the BCS.

What I started to do is schedule all the top teams every year and even after I beat them, by the end of the year I still get jacked....but I sim the teams that are a head of me until they lose, If the BCS wants to cheat me then I will have to cheat right back.

I will continue to play and hope that I eventually get an invite. Thanks again.

sometimes it matters what state you are in. i was idaho once, and "we" :D won 9 straight national championships. i never got anything from any conference. i think idaho is perfectly too far for the B12, B10, and P10.

i eventually left for FRESNO STATE.

go dogs.

takin my hometown team to the promise land!

When I've reached the point where the game just isn't fun anymore and I'm either going to have to either get into a big conference or find a real hobby:

At the end of the season, leave one bowl game unsimmed.
Save the game
Sim game, reload, sim game, reload... eventually it will happen. Probably.

I dunno what the precise conditions are for getting someone kicked out, it's a little too slow going to bother reverse engineering it. As for two teams needing to be crappy: that's one goofy rule, but in the EA world where conference invites are based on fricken DICE ROLLS, it really wouldn't surprise me.

That really sucks about Idaho, I tried a run with them once too, but couldn't stand that middle school basketball gym they play in. I did get Wyoming into the Big12 on NCAA '05 though, so I know the b12's area does go at least that far.

Strangest move ever: Troy into the MAC. I swear on my hard drive that actually did happen.

I dont know what the big deal is. I used BSU (Boise State) and I for one never had to cheat to get into the NC game. I also played 10 season then I got a invite into the PAC 10. All of my non-conf. games where against PAC-10 school. So the only teams I played was WAC and PAC-10 school. I played another school outside of the WAC or PAC-10 for 10 years straight. Well when you beat the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd school in there Conf. year after year you will get the invite.

Well in 05' it took three consecutive NC's but i got SMU into the Big 12, but i am not getting any love on my created school. I have just won 2 or three NCs and nothing. I think i am just going to have to take another coaching job to just keep my intrest in this game.

I have never been invited into another conference, even when I was winning NC with WAC and Mountain West teams. Because I was in those conferences, I had to make sure I went undefeated to get into a BSC game. One loss with those teams gurantees you're playing in a "Mr. Irrelevant Bowl"

I agree. Now i do enjoy this game, but my ambition to play 15 years to just get a conference invitation is not high on my list of things to do. So I think it just comes down to coaching somewhere else. Actually i am just ready for the new one to come out. Anyone heard anything about it. New features or is it just too early.

It doesn't really matter to me either, I like starting my dynasties out with weaker schools because its more of a challenge, not only in each game but also in recruting. My first couple of seasons with AF were tough, I really had to be focused during recruiting, seeing as you don't get sh*t for points or many 4-5 star interested prospects. I just sucks to lose one tight game to a school a whole helluva lot bigger and more prestigious than you and end up playing in a sh*t bowl game. But, like I said in another thread, you're coach prestige points go up quicker when you wins game with lower programs.
As far as 07 goes, I haven't heard anything. I believe inital beta-testing starts in April, but we won't hear anything about it; confidentiality agreements. Hopefully they pay attention to the Wishlist and fix some of the problems before they go throwing another gimmick. I'm not impressed with RFTH at all; it would have been nice to get a play editor or realistic blocking schemes, but we got stuck with another gimmick feature.
