Now the tricky part, the coach sim band-aid and my ingame coach settings:

First off, set the priority to the positions for the CPU teams to +1 to all except K,P,SS,FS,DT,TE,C - this will help the draft.

Week1/2:

Montreal Wrecking Balls: 38
Philadelphia Eagles: 10

Comments: Pretty one sided game. After N.Clements picked off McNabb in my inzone to return it for a TD - C.McAllister forced a fumble on the kickoff, picking it up as well and returning it for a TD at the begining of the 4th Quarter.

My QB finished the game 8/10 for 98YDS - Lewis was handling the game just fini rushing for 125YDS+ 35+attempts.

Montreal Wrecking Balls: 28
Atlanta Falcons: 24

Comments: This game was a little closer, but the score doesn't tell the whole story. My QB went out at the end of the 3rd QTR - and I love how madden put it: "Oh I don't think he's gonna come back that kind of injury takes awhile to heal" or something similar. Turns out he's out for the season. Still pulled off a win without turning over the ball AGAIN.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stats for both games:

Team:

- offense -
Total Yards: 838
Total Offensive: 638
Passing: 288
Rushing: 360

- defense -
Total Defense: 783
Total Offense: 675

Rushing: 100

- turnovers -

Good stuff. QB out for season is a tough break. Great team name ;)

At least you signed some free agents, made trades for some real players.

I am stuck with draftees, rookies, oh and the original cupcake guys....

I am pretty sure you cant win on all madden with the default cupcake chise.

I am a pretty good player vs CPU and humans and I was totally frustrated playing the cupcake chise the 1st year.

Ya it's pretty hard... ironicly I beat the eagles (With TO/McNabb) on my first season with only A.Simmons at MLB signed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Week4:

Montreal Wrecking Balls: 34
Dallas Cowboys: 14

Comments: After having a BYE in week 3, this was an Easy game again, winning 20-0 at halftime. This was a "Kyle Boller" type of game with a total of 8 Turnovers. No one stood out but my secondary finished the game with 5INTs and one 1FF, so I clearly made my mark. Jamal Lewis had another amazing game - rushing for 181yds on 47 carries - Linda my backup RB that I usually use for 10/15carriers a game got hurt in the 2nd quarter, out for 2weeks.

Stats:

- offense -
R.Stabler 77.1 127yds 3td 2int 13/22 59%
J.Lewis 181yds 1TD 48att
D.Carter 2td 4rec 27yds

- defense -
A.Simmons - 5TKL 1INT 1FumbleREC
N.Clements - 3TKL 1INT
Witherspoon - 3TKL 1FF
B.Taylor - 2KL 1SACK 1INT
J.Cobb - 1INT
S.Rudd - 2TKL 1TFL 1SACK 1INT

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

overall a really cool game, didnt score high on tackles cause they were on a forced comeback in the first 6minutes... plus all those picks are user picks so props to me :) - so far looking good starting off 3-0

Week5:

Montreal Wrecking Balls: 41
Washington Redskins: 24

Comments: First "Big Scoring" game this season; they were shutting down Lewis early so I PA'ed 2 passes in a row to my rookie speed rec Carter. He finished the day with amazing numbers. On the second half I started running again... Lewish had his 4th straight 100+ rushing day. Overall another easy win, but I haven't faced any "good" teams yet. NOTE: I hurt ramsey in the first quarter and ENDED Clinton Portis's career in the second.

Stats:

- offense -
R.Stabler 137.4 2td 13-21 61%
J.Lewis 132yds 2TD 38att
D.Carter 11catches 267yards 2TDs [o player of the week]

- defense -
A.Simmons - 6TKL 2TFL 1SACK
Williams - 6TKL 1TFL 2SACKS
Witherspoon - 6TKL 1TFL
McAllister - 4TKL 1INT 1TD (second this season, one off FF Week1)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overall another easy win, so far the stats look realistic. Maybe not enough Tackles but thats cause people are always playing catchup :-). Hope you enjoy so far.

Week6:

Montreal Wrecking Balls: 47
Atlanta Falcons: 17

Comments: Another blowout... and a big turnover game. Turnovers turned out 5-2 for me. I threw a pick and fumbled once early... but still turned out good. I returned a kickoff for a TD and an INT for a TD as well. Again easy game - but Falcons we're 1-4 before the game so I didn't expect much. NOTE: Took out Vick for 6 weeks in 3rd quarter and limited them to 201 total yards :-).

Stats:

- offense -
R.Stabler(R) 118.7 228yds 3td 1int 13-21 61%
J.Lewis 121yds 30att 0td
D.Carter(R) 7rec 72yds 1td
J.Gate(R) 4rec 132yds 1td LONG:89yds

- defense -
S.Rudd(R) 10TKL 1INT 1FF 4TFL [d player of the week]
A.Simmons 4TKL 1SACK 1INT
N.Clements 3TKL 1INT 1FumbleRec 1TD
C.Johnson(2y) 4TKL 1TFL 3SACK

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Weird going from a 5-11 season to a 5-0 start, my rookies are doing amazing and progressing well. But still I want a challenge.

Hawker I use PS2 Platform as mentioned... :( they are dark black as base and a dark olive green as secondary. With a checkered white and green inzone stadium :-).

P.S. I took out New Orleans, recreated all the players and put them on FA list.

Clumzie
12-30-2005, 10:00 PM
Ok thanks I am about to start mine now... now how must I recreate them..

Clumzie
12-30-2005, 11:01 PM
How did you switch your sim band-aid and in game setting and the draft thing.

jjwallstreet
12-31-2005, 11:53 AM
recreating is easy, just go in rosters, create a bunch of cupcake players sign them on NO, release all the players slowly, then create your season.

for the sim band aid and in game settings:

1) create your season and take control of all 32 teams
2) go into "coaching philosophy"
3) every game put the opponent you will be facing with "ingame settings" and all others on "sim settings"
4) NOTE: all the values you see should be on the RIGHT of your tab.

Good luck and happy new year.

Clumzie

The recreating is a hard part...umm is there a way to get realistic stats with going through all this recreating!

jjwallstreet
12-31-2005, 06:54 PM
nope... but if u wanna save some time just scrap the whole NO team... they suck anyways :P

Clumzie
12-31-2005, 06:57 PM
Ok then all I need is a cool name...then I am off to start!

I am also kinda lost with the sim band-aid thing where do I find that!

jjwallstreet
01-02-2006, 05:16 PM
The "SimBandAID" is an adjustment in "COACH PHILOSOPHY" meaning you have to take control of every team to change those settings. This "Fixes" alot of things in the engine. A few examples: rushing carries, total yards...etc.

The "InGameBANDAID" is an adjustment in "COACH PHILOSOPHY" as well, but this one "Fixes" the CPU playcalling and their run/pass ratio to give it a more "realistic" feeling.

I hope you take the time to do this, it's worth it.

Good luck, jjw.

fyi... I won't be updating this for a few days, leaving for atlantic city tmorrow.

Back from A.C. ... I think I'll stop posting details, this is turning into a massacre, won 2 more games 38-0 and 52-10. I have 14 players nominated for the probowl at the end of week 8... bleh so much for realism.

Clumzie
01-06-2006, 11:13 PM
Thanks you...Madden can never be realistic I notice!

jjwallstreet
01-06-2006, 11:14 PM
Anyways I'll still keep you guys updated, I wanna see if this Johnson dude can break the sack record. He's at 14 right now at 7-0.
