Two way players in your franchises....

I have two guys that I play both ways.

I drafted both Devin Hester (CB) and Teddy Ginn Jr. (WR) well these guys are absolute freaks and can excel at both skill positions and on defense so what I do is I have manually subbed these guys in at certain formations where I have Hester play WR on some certain routes and I have Ginn line up at CB to match up with the other teams burner slot or 4th WR if they have one course there aren't many WRs with 98+ speed out there.

I don't do this alot yet but my goal is to have the same player get both DPOY and OPOY in the same year.

Do you play on PC, and if so do you have more options for subs? On xBox I do not have the option to put a WR in at DB. I know I can do it by switching position and subbing and then switching back, kinda tricking the system I guess. I liked it better like a few years ago when there were more options for substitution. I think they stll have it on NCAA.

I can tell you that he's not playing on PC, because on PC you don't even have the option of changing a player's position. You can sub a OLB at DE, etc, but his position is still OLB. And there are very few substitution options. For CB, you can only play CBs, SSs, and FSs.

I downloaded the Madden Editor, which allows you to switch a player's position.. but if I were to change a WR to a CB, then he wouldn't be able to play WR anymore.

I'd love to put in WRs at corner and the other way around.
But to be honest, I lost my trust in EA.

Yeah this is on xbox. To be honest it's pretty buggy. Like I did this with Hester in another franchise. He was a CB and he had like 99 CTH so I put him in at WR and he dropped everything like all the time.

Yeah, I hate that on PC. I thought in 04 you could change it, but not on 06.

you kno, on the PC they made a utility so that u can edit ur franchise files.

you can change positions, players numbers, and even ratings.

04 was amazing. you could pretty much put anyone at any position. i had CBs at WR all the time in 04. not to mention DTs at FB, etc

I loved that too. I don't know why they would take it away. Do you think it had something to do with online play and people putting players at unrealistic positions?

I think to prevent 'unrealistic' position swapping. But didn't Vrabel and Sapp catch TDs?
Raandle El lines up at QB for the Steelers. etc etc.

Why don't they make it an option? (limited position swapping on/off)
