what is better to use?

the safties or linebackers on defense. i was working with just using the safties then i got some info telling me using a linebacker would be better. what input can you guys give me maybe to make a decision to which one i should stay with.

certain situations its better to use the safety and sometimes its better to use the lb. for example with man under its better to use the safety, with a cover 3 out of any formation its better to use the safety too. but with nickel 3-3-5 i use the mlb because the middle is extremely weak, 1 or 2 picks will get them to stay away from the middle. u just gotta defend the weakest part of the field.

lol saftey for sure, every situation, every down evey game. the simple fact is that any player can take down any player, you dont have to be ray lewis to tackle LT, you controll a safety in the middle of the field, you look at the vision and see which way there looking, now you have the speed to go where the ball goes, not to mention you dont need strength to hit a reciever as he catches the ball. hitstick is universally brutal :)

I control both probably about 50-50, but I personally make/cause a lot more plays like sacks or INTs and cause better confusion at the LOS when I control my linebackers because I mix it up with manual coverage and manual blitzing out of zone coverage, especially with the MLB. So lets say I'm controlling the MLB, at times I will creep up and stick the MLB's nose right in the O-lines face showing a blitz look, but drop back into coverage instead while someone else blitzes or at other times I will rush and have others droppingback into my vacated zone or fake the blitz all together and only rush 4,etc... I like to run a lot of zone blitzes especially from Cover3 shells and I manually take away passes in the seams by being in position to make a good ball jarring hit on the reciever as soon as he catches it/swat or hopefully the INT if I jump the route. I like controlling the safeties especially when running man coverage. Usually the safety who has the widest side of the field to cover if I'm running 2Deep Man Under, if not, always the FreeSafety, especially if I'm blitzing Cover1-0.
