View Full Version : Problem with Franchise Mode

I'm running into a problem with Franchise mode on my 360.

What's going on is that at some point, every franchise I've created gets "stuck" on a game I can't get by. Generally I play all the games for my team, and then simulate the rest. However, I got to Week 12 in my first attempt (with Steelers), and the next to last game in the schedule can't be simmed. Can't play it either. No matter what option I pick, it acts as if I didn't do anything.

So I started another franchise - this time with the Colts. I simmed everything, and it got stuck in the same place - the next to last game in Week 12 was unplayable/unsimmable.

Tried a third time with the Chargers. It made it to Week 13, but got stuck on a game there, too.

A fourth attempt (second with Colts) resulted in the stuck game next to last on Week 12.

Does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on here? As it stands, I can't play a season because of this. I'm not doing anything special, just started a season, and I'm simulating a lot of games, but I can't see why that would have anything to do with it. Anyone heard of this problem and how to get past it?

Thanks.

You're playing the Madden 2007 demo and it only goes up to week 13 unless you pay $49.95 on LIVE to unlock the "EA just screwed you for another $50" commemorative edition. :D

Actually, this has been posted several times before and I think that someone said it was related to a glitch with the CPU filling the rosters. Go into the Franchinse Options menu and turn the injuries off and see if that helps.

OK, thanks for the tip.

And I didn't pay $50 for mine, I got mine cheaper than that. Paid $20 - I work for a game company, and have a couple of friends who work at EA. ;)

Nice, it's good to have an EA hookup. The $50 for the commemorative edition was on top of the $60 that the rest of us schmucks had to pay at retail.

Let me know if that injury off trick works for you.

Yes, it worked, although I didn't try it on the existing season.

I tried a new one with that set to no, and I never got stuck - made it it to the playoffs without a problem.

I did that late at night and started playing a bunch, and then went to bed. :)

I have never had that problem. I heard someone else on a board mention that, and they reccomended that you delete the rosters you download from EA and start over. That seemed to work.

PREY IS GOING TO F-ING RULE!

You're my new friend...

On to your problem, same thing happened to me, but I found the solution.

It IS a problem with the CPU fixing rosters.

I started a Franchise and took control of ALL teams at the franchise team select screen...I actually only mange one team (CPU can be set to manage all others transactions on the Franchise Options screen)..but I can now step in and 'fix' things the CPU AI screws up, like depth chart and drafting stuff.

It's a SWEET addition.
