Been playing a LOT of Franchise Mode (all I ever play on Madden really) and had some comments and questions.
Anyone else tried controlling ALL teams in a Franchise??? I am and it is GREAT! After selecting all teams in the Start New Franchise screen I set the CPU to manage all transactions for the other 31 teams in the Franchise Options menu....BUT...since I selected all teams I can still go into every Depth Chart and arrange Trades, make INTELLIGENT moves, fix CPU mistakes..etc.
I also usually manually control the 1st and 2nd rounds of the draft so teams make good picks. I also sometimes handle FA signings for a few teams that need major help.
It is a GREAT addition. I can let the CPU do as much or as little as I;d lie.
ALSO:
At the end of each season, right before the Pro Bowl I save...then go to the off-season and check NFL NEWS/Draft Preview for a look at the rookie class...if it sucks (a bunch of HB w/ 4.56 speed... :mad: ) I simply reload and try again for a new class. This discovery saved HOURS of frustration. Hope it helps others.
Anyone else annoyed that the Draft classes suck like in '05?? Wish they'd patch or fix this somehow. Hopefully in '07 they'll be realistic and talented again. :rolleyes: Many of the guys in this version could NEVER play in the NFL (Typical HB: 77 Spd, 78 Btk, QB: 86 THP, 74 THA, WR: 84 Spd, 72 Cth..etc.)
