I've had 360 and Madden since Christmas. Time to buy a new game.
What do you guys suggest? Any game I should stay away from?

You looking for sports or just any game? Nonsports fave is def COD2. PGR3 is good if you like driving games. Condemned is good, but the novelty disappears quickly. I'm not big on any of the other launch titles, but there aren't any that I'd absolutely say you should stay away from either. If you've got a Hollywood Video, go rent a few games.

NBA 2K6 is the best of the launch titles, and that includes the shooters. COD2 is also fantastic.

My next purchase is Winning Eleven 9, which should be backwards compatible.

Waiting for Fight Night Round 3 :) , Ghost Recon and Oblivion. There is another game that looks pretty good too, Blazing Angels. That on Xbox Live should be great. Another one that looks fun especially for Xbox Live play, is The Outfit. Too bad Splinter Cell: Double Agent got pushed back. That looks like a must have. Sad thing is, it got pushed back when the football games are coming out :(

Nice, mine's an '04 sedan. Haven't done any mods, but I've got a buddy that's done everything to his that he bought a month after me. He's gonna help me get mine souped up once I save some cash. Forza's got Subaru, right? Anyone know when that's hitting for 360?

The only guy I ever found that could hang with me won a National tourney
in Cali and helped to write a Prima stategy guide on the game.

Does anyone know if the EA's head coaching game or Arena Football is going to be on the 360? IF not is it going to be possible to play the xbox version on the 360???

I am not sure if or how playing present gen games on the 360 can be done.... Anyone wanna help me out on this?

Didn't say anything about it coming out for the 360 though.

GUN isn't a bad game if you liked the GTA games.

PGR3 and COD2 are both great games, even tho COD2 isn't very good online if you get a full game, lags so bad its unplayable.

NBA 2k6 is probably the best b-ball game out, but Live isn't bad as a lot of people will tell you. It is a much better game on the 360 than it was on current gen plus it looks amazing. I'd rent these before you buy to see which one you like better.

Tiger Woods is a very fun game both online and offline if you're a golf fan.

PDZ was pretty disappointing to me.

Games I'd look for:

Ghost Recon
Fight Night Round 3
Blazing Angels
Gears of War (this one looks like it will be AMAZING!!)

I'm really enjoying playing Dead or Alive 360 online.
If you don't have it or haven't played it online, it works as this...
You play on one console, set to certain rules set by the maker or champion
- such as, ex. - winner stays on, best of 3, tag team rules.
If you lose, you go to the back of the line - and watch the battles in front
of you. If you win, you stay on, and take on the challenges - in order -
until you lose, and go to the back of the line again.

You can search for "consoles" with rules to your liking - and play opponents
of any desired skill level. You can also create your own for others to join.
Voice chat generally is everyone talking at once, but when a big move or
combo is hit - you get big noise, almost like a crowd for your fights.
Sorta brings the old arcade back.

I've heard a lot of people that liked DOA. Just never been a big fighting game person.

Question : Can you play online with regular XBOX games using the 360?

Question : Can you play online with regular XBOX games using the 360?

I'm pretty sure you can, but the 360 is not backwards compatible with ALL regular Xbox games, so you just have to make sure the game you want to play is a backwards compatible game. I think you can find a list of the games that are over at xbox.com.

OK, thanks for the info. I'm hoping Samurai Showdown 5 works.

here's the lazy link to the backward compatible list

360 backward compatible game list (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardcompatibilitygameslist.htm)

my solution was to keep my old xbox hooked up to the HDTV as well as the 360. I've been finding that it still gets use, I have a decent library of games and enjoy being able to go back and play them.

Of course I still have a dreamcast, N64, SNES, gamecube etc. hooked up as well. I still love fishing on the dreamcast with the fishing rod controller.
