I seem to think that the competition online is much better when you play late at night. It's significantly betterr IMO. Why is that???...

I dont know. But yes, i noticed that there's lot less cheaters during late nights.

Because at night all the madden geeks start to come out who spend the whole night playing the game.

They are evil too... Man I played like 3 games where I got out to a quick lead.... and it was like ok I'm gonna coast and then BAM I'm down by 10!!:eek: It feels like your playing 2 different people.

i think some of it has to do, most the kids are to bed by then, early in the morning is another good time.. not as many ppl though... but from 3-9 is the worst time to play... mainly kids on then...

agreed, Im a late owl. I also have a job, so that doesnt make me a geek neither^^^^^. Thats the only time i can play.

The reason the competition is better at night might be because all the young kids are gone to bed ? Depends what timezone your playing in.

yeah im on the east coast and i agree at night you get rid of all the children and the antics and just play.

Also, the servers run smoother since less people are on at night. Less chance of getting disconnected. It has a lot to do with the kids being in bed though.

Juz means you ran into some good players. They learn your scheme in the 1st, maybe 2nd qtr then pour it on once they got u figured out. Been there. it hurts o so bad :D

Its not just that the kids are gone, most of the people who play at 3 in the morning are probably more hardcore than the 3-9 crowd. You can no longer consider yourself a 'casual' madden gamer if your still playing Madden while your housemate is eating breakfast..... Not that I would know anything about that :cool:

Its the ONLY time I play. All the top online kats come out after 12 am. Straight up hardcore games all through to the next morning. Hardly ever get stalled or disconnected, just kats who can seriously ball. Plus its alot less people so the real good good ballers have no choice but to play you or juts sit in the lobbies all night long.

One dude I was playing was real cool. He was pounding me with the colts and I couldn't figure out his def scheme so he started helping me. I'll post his tag in a sec. Great Balla!!

His name was JediColt on xbox. He has a loosing rec and it says he's only a lev 1 but he was much better than some other guy's I've played who had winning rec sooo...

If you are looking for a good game... Play this guy.

I find great games late at night. I'm always on around 12-4 am Central time and I have never been stalled or DC, just overall good games...EXCEPT last night. The last game I played the guy wouldnt accept my Mercy offer. I ended up winning 91-8 lol. He did the same ish, deep to Hall and corner/post to Gonzo :rolleyes:

I have NEVER Never ever lost that bad.... OH MY GOD!!! He wouldn't take mercy!! Thats when you say ok... and just run down the clock!! Save him from himself.

I ran the clock and just kept kicking field goals even on 1st down. I offered Mercy but he just declined them all. Most of my TDs came from INTs and fumble returns. I knew what he was going to do and would get user picks...I think I had 5 user picks and 3 by the cpu all but 1 were TDs. I felt like I was doing the swat ball drill the whole game lol but he was a good sport about it :p

I'll agree that most of the kids are in the bed, but it goes alot deeper than that. Late at night the lobbies are usually packed with LONG-TIME Madden players with a frim grasp on the features, functions, and depth and strategies.

The familiarity with the functions of the game and X's and O's tends to be the biggest difference between playing at night and playing during the day...

If I play Madden I only play after 11 pm. It seems as if thats when most of the older people are on who like to play more for the fun. I don't know if the comp is better but the gaming experince is better.

Unfortunately, familiarity with the X's and O's doesn't really matter. All that matters is if you know how to press up ont he D-Pad, and who can manipulate the AI the best.
