I've seen the offense ran, but does anyone have any information about it? Like a website or something.

there was film online from their game with Boise St. but it has been taken down it looks like.
the basics:
short shotgun formation: (Pistol)
X ------------T-G-C-G-T-Y
-----H-----------------------------Z
-------------------Q
-------------------T
from this you can run most any Ace or I formation play, the H back/receiver, can motion to lead block, also have seen him line up next to the QB for a "quasi" power I look.
QB initiates all run plays with a half spin to disguise the play to the linebackers. also Speed options work quicker and the HB is in better ptich relationship than standard gun.
pretty much a combination of shotgun, single wing, and I formations, the passing game is very much like Purdue's, or Washington State's.

These formation was actually originally developed for the shotgun triple option; it was originally run as a Double Slot Wing T. Teams run the inside veer with it and do so quite effectively.

It's a unique offensive system to say the least. The quarterback's alignment aside, it's basically a normal one back offense. If you look at Nevada's offense from two seasons ago they were a one back system (rarely used shotgun), the Pistol helps with their pass protection and IMO enhances their quick step game and of course they can maintain a downhill running game.
There are other teams that used variations of the Pistol last season. Purdue used an H-back look and ran the option from it and Arkansas State also uses the Pistol, but not every down like Nevada does. I've been hearing that Maryland may break out with it's version of the Pistol as well.

I appreciate all that you have provided, but I knew a lot of it. I tried to google it and all I got was a forum of coaches where you have to pay to join, so if anyone has any websites or videos, I'd appreciate it.

I have a video by Tony Demeo called "Coaching the Shotgun Triple Option". I'll see about uploading it.

Sorry guys, I can't rip it on to my CPU. Nother- you can find this video cheap on www.footballamerica.com, I know you'd love this offense. DeMeo basically runs a version of the Run n Shoot along with a the option. He runs a lot of double slot/wing out of SG and he's had great success with it.
