interceptions and curl passes

99% of the time I get picked, its because I made a bad read.

However, when my curl passes get picked, its NEVER because of a bad read and always because of a super human DB. when I throw the ball my guy is open, clearly in front of the DB with good position.

And then right after I release it, the DB instantly turns his back and jumps in front for the pick

Out of all the passes in the game, curls are the hardest to see if its in danger of being picked

They are playing zone. The db is just sitting there waiting for that curl. You need to isolate or disguise it better... Oh and precision pass UP.:)

Quick throwing curl routes. How many curl routes do you throw a game? Curl routes are for bums. I average 1 curl route for every 2 to 3 games. It's very rare if I throw more then that.

Curl routes are what made bums good this year if you want to call that good. Come next year those bums will be back where they started from. Bottom line is don't depend on curl routes to get you thru your games depend on smart X and O offense and you will be much better off in the long run.

I've noticed that this will happen a TON if you play the CPU on All Madden. The AI will begin to break on the ball as soon as you click the button, before the QB even releases. It seems to be the opposite if you're playing a another person, even on All Madden. The CB will continue to sit behind the WR and will even do the animation where they are bracing for the catch, even though the WR is DIRECTLY between them and the ball.

It also depends on the quality of the WR and the CB... I was doing this quick throw to a short curl after a PA pass and T.O. caught about 18 out of 20 w/ McAllister on him... McAllister jumped out and dove to knocke it down once and the second time he hit T.O. and knocked it loose.

curl route is for bums is right. You know it's for scrubs when they use it 8 times in a row for a TD because nothing else on their offense works.

lol, what the f*ck. :p Are they running Cover2-Sink or something, even then they hardly ever get picked? I hardly ever seen them get picked, unless the throw is f-ing retarded, thrown too soon or super super high where it goes sailing to a safety or other DB who's far behind in deep zone. F*ck curl routes though, I probably only throw about 2-3 a game, I love throwing posts over the middle. F*ck it, I take risks with the vertical passing game.
