Lead blocking is a joke

Your kidding me, another year of E3 and another year of not asking the right questions to EA!

We all know and have to deal with the take over of 2k5, thats cool but wait a second... why is EA GOING BACKWARDS

STILL???

Why on gods green earth are you pushing something like lead blocking and mini camps, its all a waste of disk space!!

They must think were dumb. maybe they think we think 2+2=candy. think about this if your happy about the line blocking:

then you must of took the small yellow bus for school

Lead Blocker Control: Throw the perfect block and create a running lane with all-new lead blocking control, and then take command of the tailback and rip off a big gain.

Do you really think if were playing online and i see you change from your qb to a FB or anyone on the line what am i going to think

A) hes going to pass

B) hes going ot punt

or

C) hes running the ball

this isnt going to work. no one is going to let there computer control the QB while they block.

i guess were better off playing our atari 2600 m network football.

now if you havent had online leagues on the game youll never understand why this makes me mad.

its like living in a world of sexy women who cook and clean, who let you go out with the boys. they pour your beer while your watching tv and this evil race comes in, take away your women, and doesnt replace them.

well not that bad maybe they replace them with fat chicks but, if youve been playing online leagues and making trades and doing drafts for years, then someone comes along and takes that away and adds some blocking mess, you would be pissed.

Ok i give the change of the D thats cool.

But the big question is........

WHY DOESNT ANYONE ASK ABOUT THIS

Whos going to turn on there 360 and spend all day running the 40 in mini camp lolol

Hey i think the lead block idea soods cool. i like running the ball myself. to say someone rides the "short bus" come on now thats just rude. Oh and i drove a Firebird to school and i like the new idea. does more need to be added, fixed, or taken out? oh yeah but don't kill something to you have played it. adding one thing to the game could "Lead" to something else we need in the game. for all we know they could be working on the idea of online leagues out side of the game and just have not put it in yet being its not working out the way they want it.

as for 2k? EA has it locked up for 10 years and that was starting with madden 06 and if i remember right they have a deal with ESPN for 15 years

That statement about your opponent being able to see you switch to a person to block with is just silly. Can you see your opponents Routes when they look at them before every snap online.
If you just dont like the fact that a horrible 2K series football game is gone then you will remain baised against EA.

IMO, EA is reaching with the Run to Daylight feature. After QB Vision hijacked the passing interface, I'm not sure I can take another year with some silly "feature" that isn't transparent... MAKE IT OPTIONAL.

I do not plan on using it more than 3 times a year. I'm only concerned with controlling my ball carrier on run plays.

Realism says that it's impossible to block and run on the same play. I guess the flashlight being "realistic" makes this realistic too...

all im saying if they hide the person you change to, the lead blocking would be great but think about when your playing madden now, when some one changes to another person you can see the circle under the person.

You can put your icon under anyone on the field before the snap, whether it a run or pass. If its a pass, when you snap the ball the control automatically goes back to the qb. So just because the cursor isnt on the qb doesnt mean your running. Its just like the concept of using hot-routes on a run play.

i agree and disagree with some, you can confuse your opponent by having the icon on the FB or OL and making a PA or having the icon on the WR and making a run. I think it should be fun i just hope the cone is in there. And im liking the mini-camp features cause i play online leagues but also offline and i like to do mini-camp and i heard there is a new feature for scouting and i really like that. The only thing i will like is to get rid of LeagueDaddy and can merge the games results.

Yes, that is true the R/P crap is gone this year, And I for one am stoked for this new feature(Run lead Blocking), I love the Vision cone, I actually like it when its was not filling the whole field...Im not a kid, Im an adult and you cant knock something till you try it, Ive tried playing without the cone and its hard not too, its already 2nd nature and it makes sence...Any other compnay can make a football game, EA didnt buy the rights to that, they bought the NFLPA/ NFL players association rights ect, so no other team can use the Logo or team player names...I for one am excited for 07, My opinion....OH And its pretty imature to make front of Kids who are mentally challenged who ride in little yellow Buses, if you knew someone like that you wouldnt make comments like that...I would hope...again My opinion, Im a PS2 guy and soon PS3, If I were you Id be mad that there is no defensive Playmaker again this year:mad: Thats something to be upset about, Again My opinion:D

ummm, it wasn't EA that spearheaded the whole exclusive thing, it was the NFL. The NFL does everything on an exclusive basis, from shoes (reebok i think) to the video game. They put it ont he table for ALL game makers to bid on and EA was actually out of it for a little while. They came back with one last bid and got it. Don't blame EA for the exclusive thing, blame the NFL.

As for lead blocking, you can certainly change into another player before the snap on pass plays as well. So if i play you and you see me change to the FB or an O-lineman, you're gonna think i'm running? THAT'S GREAT! Exactly what I'd want you to do! At the snap it's going to automatically change to the QB on pass plays.

but you ahd to be in 2 player mode (same team) to use that - i remember when 05 first came out the manual had the square button for the cutblock but ya could never do it in a one-on-one game, it had to be 2 player-same team.

I hope that you can control any player on offense, even if it is a pass or a playfake. Then you would have to play the offense honest. Yeah that yellow bus comment was pretty stupid and a very ignorant thing to say. I was hoping that you could be a lineman or a full back and kind of lead him in the direction to block on a pass, especially if you are facing a soid pass rusher. Im so excited for this madden!

1. you can lead-block with any of your linemen,TE's,FB's
2. you can engage in a block and switch back to the HB before he gets the handoff.
3. your opponant can see you switching your players before the snap to lead-block
4. you can fake lead-block on passing plays and after the snap you get control of your qb as normal..kinda like a bluff play to keep the defense honest
5.you cannot lead-block with a WR unless he is lined up next to a linemen.


i guess thats about it......i thought this was going to be the dumbest feature yet, and i must say that it is actually prettty good as the game itself is surprisingly good.
