how about ****ing bull****. Just finished a game with Seena and i'm up 17-7 with a couple minutes left preparing to run some clock. 1st play, toss right but wait. The toss was tipped by a dlineman before it made it to the rb. He returned it for 6. The score is now 17-14 me. I prepare again to run clock. Troy Smith on a option run but wait, another dlineman decides he wants to intercept the rb by jumping into the backfield to make the hit and causing the fumble. At this point i knew the game was over. Seena would score to go ahead with seconds left. He kicks off but wait....you guessed it. Muffled then fumbled and Seena recovers. All be damn. whats the deal with the intercept the pitch/handoff/rb's and ****. I had become to be a really calm guy and accept the games for what they are but i cant take this **** anymore. I may resort to just throwing deep balls!!!!!!

Just like in real life, any time you put the ball in the air, you're taking a tremendous risk, especially when you are trying to run the clock out. Next time you should stick to handoffs in that situation. The toss that got tipped was just bad luck, but I did have that happen in a high school game I coached... luckily it was my kid who intercepted the pitch. The option, though, is definitely too risky to be used in that situation, especially when counters are so effective.

I felt so bad for you dude. I was seriously thinking about hanging this game up for good. Realistic my a**. Thats why at the end, when i recovered the muffed kick, i was trying my best to somehow turn the ball over. I was going to tell you by pausing, but i already had used my three pauses trying to figure out if i could challenge a play or not. So i did give you the ball back with 10 seconds left, but sorry that wasn't enough. Yea im definantly just gonna stick with dynasty mode and just come on for league games. I'm 3-4 but really should be 1-6 because i came back from 2 scores against kaidog earlier that was stupid too. And i've lost all my ot drills too. It seems like everything my opponent does seems easy, but everything i do is impossible. I've even dropped the shotgun stuff and i've tried everything, but it doesnt work. This game reminds me alot of 05, where the only thing that worked was the streak. Whatever though i'll see you guys for league games.

you have to play smart , you cant just do stuff in this game and not think about it. the AI in this game will make you pay if you just pick plays with out thinking out all the angles, what if hes in zone what if he blitzes what if he is in a zone man spy. you have to think about every situation when you choose a play

This happened to me 2 consecutive games. I was running the option with Rutgers and the pitch kept getting knocked away. Part is my problem but the D is rediculous sometimes. But their are WAY TOO many fumbles. Everytime I return its 50/50 I'll have the ball.

youre problem is you play with rutgers, you cant run brian leonard every single play or youre bound to fumble sometime.

Yeah, cause Brian Leonard's just a fumblin' machine.

I was just using Rutgers cuz my opponent wanted to play a B team game. It wasn't Leonard fumbling either. It was on the pitches. Just bad luck I guess.

Off-topic, but I played a few friends in a Drunken Techmo Super Bowl Tournament on Nintendo a few weeks ago and on that being what alot consider "the greatest game ever", there sure are ALOT of fumbles. QB Eagles fumbled 4 times in one game for me. lol :(
So I don't think we will ever have a football game ever without some random fumbles. I havn't fumbled all that much on 07'. I usually don't fumble at all (or maybe once), but there are games where I have had 3 or 4 fumbles. I guess it just happens sometimes.

I always fumble at least once on a kickoff or punt return it seems. And yes I do have room on the PRs.

O but it is. You can't expect 100% not to fumble. When that ball goes to the air (option pitch, pass, ect....) your fumble chances realy go up. Don't blame the game blame the player.

the ball was never in the air on an option pitch or pass. can u guys not comprehend? the ****ing toss was tipped and returned for a td. I've never seen that **** in all my 2000 career online games. the fumble on the option had no pitch. you had a hike, then boom!!!! fumble1!! The muff was not a pitch. All this happens on 3 consecutive touches. what in the **** could "the player" have done about this

I'm sorry, but when the ball is tossed, isn't it in the air?

i started a thread on gameplay and u turn it into a science thread. i could give a flying **** if technically it is in the air. it was bull**** and thats what i'm saying. If that was the only thing that happened it would be no big deal. Stuff happens. But when i get 2 more fumbles on 2 more consecutive touches in the matter that i did i'm calling bull****.

I agree that there is a lot of BS in the game (including what happened to you), but regardless of gameplay flaws, pitches and toss plays are inherently more risky than simple handoffs. I remember an NFL films clip of Parcells ripping into his QB for running a toss play while running situational plays. He said something to the effect of "don't ever run a toss play inside our five or inside their five or i'll shove the ball so far up your..."

Crazy stuff like this happens in real life, too, whether this guy wants to realize it or not. What about a few years ago when Kentucky was celebrating a win over LSU only to see a tipped hail mary go for a TD? Or the kicked TD pass in the Nebraska-Mizzou game in the late 90's? Or the immaculate reception? Crazy stuff happens, and while it may happen a little more often in video game football, it's not unique to video game football. What about the Miracle at the Meadowlands? That's why most teams simply take a knee when they are running out the clock. As a coach, the QB kneeldown is my favorite play to call! It means my team is getting the W!

seeing that this was a venting thread. Let me include this vent. I am playing M-Dub Colorado vs Louisville. It was a mess... I knew I was going to have a tough problem when I missed the extra point ... GRRRRR
We are playing at Colorado also, don't want to exclude that. So I have the mo, and then I throw and int. The mo sprints to his side, he throws an int the very next play. The mo didn't move!!!! I was saying this is bull.... AWWWw EA at its best.
So I am playing with a qb with pretty good accuracy. He was playing with his back up I believe that doesn't have accuracy no where near as good as my qb. He was running around and Costa was saying he is throwing the ball like a laser. I was like, "what happened to the concept of Precision passing!!!" I was like this was EA at the finest.
This game is still a great game, but there are those games!!! There are those games.....

Wow, you're not bitter. Back to back fumbles happen. Next time play smart, run a dive play. Why run a toss or pitch and risk getting blown up? OL get blown out of their cleats alot in 07'. Better luck next time.
