Spring Game Strangeness

So I am doing my offseason mumbo and jumbo...

I get to the part where I have a Spring Game. The disclaimer says that holes will be filled by walkons, blah-blah-blah...

Well this particular time, I have a gaping hole. I only have one returning QB.

So the White team, instead of fielding a walkon QB, lines up one of my JR RBs instead! I sacked him about 17 times during the 5-minute half, because even though he's quick, he isn't used to the pass rush.

But every now and then he completes a pass to some walkon dude named "King" who is ripping up my secondary. I only had one returning WR as well, so the rotation is full of walkons.

Here's the weird part...

is 6' 5" tall and weighs 376lbs. He has an OVR of 99, SPD of 97, CTH of 96, BTK of 98... etc... He also tackles in the mid-90s and has KPW over 80...

I look at my other "walkons" and the WRs are all better than 6' 2" and 350lbs... It's no wonder I couldn't freaking tackle these guys....


What the hell is that? And why won't these guys enroll???? :mad:

LOL:D That is awesome in its own weird way. I would be curious if you took another team or even the same one and went through the same steps. Would you get the same thing?

No freshman play in the Spring Game...

Mr King came off the street to help fill the squad for a day, then returned to his life as a bouncer at the Silver Dollar Gentlemen's Club... As far as EA is concerned, he ceased to exist when the gun sounded...

Both counts have also happened to me, just not that extent.

I also had only 1 QB returning, and the opposing team had my 3rd string RB at QB.

As for the stud WR, I didn't have 99 OVR guys, but I was a cupcake team, and I did have 2 walk-on CB (had only 2 returning) who were 85 and 82 OVR respectively. Same thing on the D-line. 85 and 84 OVR. At first I thought they had actucally come to my team and I was pumped, but later found out they only show up for the game.

If I had a 6'5", 360 pound reciever, he would get the ball EVERY PLAY, no questions asked.

Yea, sorry wasnt thinking there. Of course there wouldn't be any freshman, they havn't enrolled yet.
