I was wondering if anyone ran HB Read and Tackle, I have not had too much luck with them so far, and have basically abandoned them altogether.
It seems that both these plays get blown up right from the snap, and it usually results in a loss of yardage.
I know they didn't work all that well in the past, I was curious if anyone had used either of them with any luck.

They're pretty effective from the gun. I haven't really experimented with them much to form an opinion from under center formations though.

Well, I am running Washington's playbook and there are only two shotgun formations and they are both 5 wide formations.
Thanks for the reply, I will go and check them out in another playbook as you described.

Where I had success running these plays, are from the split back formations. It requires fast guards, or extremely slow defensive tackles lining up against them. The thing that usually happens on the game is your guard never gets to the DT in time. If you break a long run, it is usually to the outside. If you try to run the zone from anything else under center other than split backs, I would motion someone to pick up where the idiot guards miss. One I like is the I form big wing (I think that is the name of the formation). It looks like this:
...............T.G.C.G.T.TE...............
WR......TE......QB........................
....................FB........................
....................RB.........................
Expiriment motioning your TE somewhere around where the playside guard is. These are the only ways I have had success run the zone from under center.
