every few games i get connection lost at the 1st play

I get the loss and so does my opponent. Do youhave any idea why this happens? Its not even worth me playing if im gettin all these losses. Someone please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is in 07 and I have a hard time signing on too.

Are u playing behind a router? I know last year there were some issues like this when ppl played with routers... u have to open ports and do some tweaking to ur router. If u r playing with a router, try bypassing it and plug in directly to ur modem... see if that works, if it does then u know what the problem is at least.

I read that if you press pause before the first kickoff, then the game will d/c.

This has happened to me three games in a row now. The kickoff is fine, but as soon as I pick a play and snap the ball the game disconnects. I thought xbox live was better because you had to pay for it but it's just as bad as Sony.

yea i thought it was just my connection going out but its odd that it kept happening on the first play....hopefully this ish gets fixed

I had this happen and I changed the 5 minute quarters to 4 minute quarters and it hasn't happened again but don't ask why.
