Stopping outside run

I just cant stop runs to the outside.. Ive tried just about everything I can think of, and I even am run commiting. Is there any way to at least contain this?

If you absolutely know it's an outside run id suggest you try a corner blitz that would probably be the best way to stop some one who keeps doing it.

go to a 3-4 defense or even a 4-3 defense
get fast OLB's i suggest movin fast SS's up like joeseph jefferson
play zone and maybe manually control MLB
it usually works lol
