Simple Passing Defense Adjustments

Without individual playmaker controls, what are some simple player positioning adjustments I can make to defend against the vertical passing game...especially if I have a weak stick?

If your calling a cover 2 d hit triangle and up on the right stick 1 or 2 times depending on how you feel you need to cover the deep pass.If your calling cover 1 then you have to call triangle and lafy or right depending on which safety is playing that zone then move each safety a little and hit triangle and right to put your guys in better man coverage if you feel the need for that,but what you want to do is control the safety thats in man coverage and doubled up on the wr or if he's not on the wr you control him to civer the wr.Just work with a few other types of defenses and find out whats working for you the best.I've been running a cover 3 type d mostly on those types of players and it seems to help,but I also call pass commit if they pass and that helps to.You need to be careful with the run/pass commit though because you can get burnt badly at times.Good luck on these tips but theres no guarntee all these will work all the time but it should help.

I agree that these are good tips, but on 360 there is no triangle button. You should hit A instead to control your db's and make the necessary adjustments.

Y is the same as triangle, the buttons 4 360 is the same as PS3
