Sup guys? I have read many concepts on schemes for the 3-4 defense, but it seems those schemes work for the PS2 and current Gen XBOX. Is there anyone out there running a successful scheme of 3-4 on the 360? I love the Cowboys, but I'm having problems running the D. Any help would be appreciated.

Working on a D playbook. There will be Tons of 3-4 stuff in it. I'm liking it more than 4-3 right now. If 46 Bear was in 3-4 book I'd use it exclusively.

What using the Ravens book? It has bear and 3-4 in it. I don't know if it is enough 3-4 though.

Yeah I'm using the Ravens book, but I really would like to have all the 3-4 stuff with the 46 Bear. They should add a Bear front for the 3-4 next year.

Yeah man, that Bear is rough. You can almost play the whole game using the bear.

The 46 Bear is hard to use in this game IMHO. I used to use the Hero Slant play against the run. The LDE and the ROLB are both in a flat zone so they'd pick up the sweeps, and the MLBs would plug the middle. Now that defense gets burned by the outside run consistently for me.

I can't figure out if there is a 'speed' package out of the options there like in the regular 46 formations. Does anyone know? I'd like to get more speed at the LOLB position to support the slow LDE in closing of the run to that side.

What else works vs. the run from the 46 Bear? I use Gap Press which does OK. I don't agree you could run the 46 Bear all game - there's not near enough speed on the field and you'd get killed through the air and in the flats. YMMV

Yeah, I would love to see the 4-6 Bear added to the 3-4 playbook. That would be sweet. I use the 3-4 almost all the time and I am very comfortable stopping the run with it (works great on passing downs). Sometimes against some guys I've trouble against the BIG sets, that's when I miss the 4-6 formation(s).
