Hi,
This is my first post on these forums and I really havent read much of them. I don't understand much of what you guys and I'm still a noob at the game.

I play Packers and my friend plays Steelers. He blows me out of the water every single game. I'm at such a loss for what to do and am seeking professional help lol. Every play his guys are on Favre in half a second, even if hes not blitzing!

I try to hit Driver deep but of course that doesnt always work.

When he's on offence he seems to run Parker a heck of alot and I find it damn near unstoppable. If I use a FG block or Jam Middle he just audibles into a throw and owns me. He also uses Steel Cross and Slot Outs and I'm yet to stop either of them.

So all around I'm a newb and he pwns me.
Any suggestions would be extremely helpful (good plays, moves)

and does any1 have any tips on how to play that might seperate the newbs from the pros?

Welcome to the forum. First of all I must say that your opponents team is better than yours so you need to play smart. He runs alot so use run stopping formations like 4-3 under and the 4-6. Use the commit(tapping down on the right analog stick as soon as the ball is hiked) to slow his run down. Watch out if he passes you will get burned but Green Bay Defense versus the Steelers you need to learn that.

On offense you have a good team. Use short passes like out and in patterns to the tight end and other receivers. Use your back in the flats and don't be afraid to run a little. Don't go deep every play, look to make a long sustained drive to wear him down. Also if he isn't blitzing alot use playaction plays. You can change the fullback and tight end to block if you need more time but Brett Farve playaction is deadly, he still gets respect from EA.

Just a little advice, I assume you are a Packer fan so I won't say fiind a better team, Later.

thx a lot man,
I'm afraid I dont understand what 4-6 means. And what exactly does commit do?

Further more, how do u get the fullback to block taht would be a life saver if its possible.

46 is a defensive set like 4-3 or 3-4, you have to find a playbook that has it. Commit makes your defense commit to one thing. If you run commit all your guys will come up to stop the run. If you pass commit your people will drop back and look for the pass. To run commit press down on the R-stick right after the offense hikes the ball. Look and see if it's a run, if it is then hit the run commit. You have to be careful of the playaction though so don't overuse it. To pass commit just press up on the R-stick after the offense hikes the ball.

To make the fullback block just pick a play where he doesn't go out on a route. Or you can just make him block by using hout routes. If you're on PS2 press triangle for hot route, then the button of the fullback, then R2 to make him block right or L2 to make him block left.

if u want to beat ur friend and ur not quite as good as him use a team like the Giants because there are no real holes oin there team exept for there secondary but if u run man on Defense u should be fine. that way if u dont know what to do Lob it up to Plax or Shockey. By the way practice using the highlight stick in rushing attack ...its deadly
