does anyone else have the problem of trying to intercept and your db just stands there when you press Y? Occasionaly they will go up after it but most of the time the just watch the other team catch it and run it to the goal.

I have had the same experience. I have also tried swatting by pressing A, but this is also ineffective. Does straffing help prior to pressing Y or A?

Yes straffing is required actually, but your man has to be there too. If he is overmatched with speed, then most likely he isn't going to get there. When you switch is also very important too. You have to anticipate the throw and switch as soon as the QB's arm cocks back or you can forget it.

I,ve noticed if your a step out of position, it reallly hard to make the play. Try giving a 2-3 yard cushion behind where you'd normally play so you can run into the ball facing it instead of running trying to catch up with it. This seems to make you jump or swat the ball instead of wondering why your hand didn't get up

I have the same problem, I think it has ALOT to do with who you are controlling. I've sat there labbing hell marries, sitting waiting jumping...... nothing 80 percent of the time. Seems the more people around the ball good guys or bad it seems no one will catch it.

It's kinda hard. But once you get it you got it. You gotta play under the pass in a sense and strafe and get it. You don't want to get out in front of the WR. It's wierd. I still don't get it right everytime, but sometimes I hit it just right.

imo it's just problems with the responsiveness of the controls...a lot of reviews i have read complain about the lack of response...i tend to agree, if the wr gets behind you then you can forget it. all you can do is hope he has to jump to catch it so that when he lands he will have to slow down so your db can catch up.

You most emphatically DO NOT "have" to strafe to get picks. I get over the shoulder picks all the time on underthrown balls and when i have superior position. It's all timing coupled with ball arc and velocity. Strafing can help in some situations, and it can waste precious microseconds in others.
