Hi all! While I will play all my games for my Bills team I figured what would be the harm in making a sim the first season franchise? None. The Raiders have been caught in a Dung Heap and now is the time to rise from it.

Al Davis to retire
Perhaps the greatest Owner of All Time Al Davis has retired. While he mostly was pure evil he brought diversity into the NFL Coaching staffs with the First Black, and Latino Coaches. He also hired the first woman as team president. He will no doubt be missed by lots of Raiders fans. This must be a day of heaven for Broncos fans. Will the Raiders finnaly begin the Rebuilding process?

The new head of the Oakland Raiders has been named! Raider Nation 53 will handle all of the owner and GM duties. This was a contreversal move by Al Davis and his last act as owner. So much for L.A.

The Raiders have Released HB Rod Smart
The Raiders have Traded Cameron Spikes and Courtney Andderson for TE Bo Scaife. Scaife is expected to be a huge factor in the passing game if things go right.
The Raiders have traded aging DE Bobby Hamilton for a 4th Round Pick. Hamilton was shocked saying "I thought I had a couple years left in the tank, I guess they didn't"
The Raiders have Released QB Marques "Tui" Tuiasisopo. Tuiasisopo will hope to be signed sometime.
The Raiders have signed QB Bruce Gradowski to a 3 year deal worth 3.45 Million.
The Raiders have signed RB Michael Robinson to a 3 year deal worth 3.60 Million.
The Raiders have Waived LB Robert Thomas.
The Raiders have Traded LB Danny Clark to the Bengals for a 3rd round draft pick, and have moved Kirk Morrison to MLB.
The Raiders have signed DE Charles Bennent to a 2 year Deal worth 2.08 million. Bennent will backup Lance Johnstone most likley.
The Raiders have moved Michael Huff to SS.

I like it. Sounds like you have a plan, know what you want to do, and to heck with what anyone thinks. That's the way to run a chise!

Gibson Pissed at spot
Incumbent Strong Saftey Derrick Gibson has spoken about his recent benching in favor of rookie Michael Huff. "Whatever the coach wants the coach gets I guess" Gibson said after learning of his benching. He went on to call out Certain Players of the team. "This Rookie comes in and thinks he owns the place, I'll tell him when he owns the place" Gibson was oblivious to the fact that he sucks. "Stuart (Schwiegart) doesn't always do his job right, Its not my fault we suck, its more so his than mine." Coach Shell had no Comment.
Youth Movement?
The Raiders recent trades have many people wondering if teh Raiders are planning a Mass Youth Movement. This might be what the team needs to get going into shape.

Preseason Recored: 2-2
Regular Season Recored: 8-8
Injuries:
Zack Crokcett was injured all the time, and never got to full strength allowing Robert Holcombe to perform.
Bo Scaife had to miss the season sadly, but will return at full strength next year.
Jake Grove got injured in a 4 Sack Allowed Performance:D
Jerry Porter missed 9 weeks and didn't start playing again until week 15.
Aaron Brooks missed one game.
Stats:
Aaron Brooks was up and down throwing for 2,679 yards, 14 TD's and 16 Interceptions. He hasn't proven to me that he is the future and QB is a position to adress in the Offseason.
Lamont Jordan Rushed for 1,300 yards, 9 TD's and a 4.1 YPC average. He wasn't the main attraction however with Robert Holcombe rushing for 2TD's.
Randy Moss caught 87 Passes for 1,129 yards and 9 Touchdowns. He made the Pro Bowl and proved his worth. Lamont Jordan's 55 receptions were 2#, while Marcellus Rivers got 36 Receptions for 3rd.
Kirk Morrison recorded 147 Tackles! he also added 3 sacks and was trhe glue that kept the front seven together. This allowed LOLB Darnell Bing to reach the QB 6 times and
Thomas Howard to add 4 more Sacks.
Lance Johnstone and Tommy Kelly had 9 and 5 respectivley.
Michael Huff was the real story as he added 5 Interceptions and made the Prowbowl. Greg Blue a late Signing (sorry I didn't post) got 3 Interceptions and Tyrone Poole had 4.
Lechler had an off year. Gasp!
My plan of building the Defence around Morrison worked wonders, and That allowed my team to have an 8-8 Season narrowly missing the Playoffs. When I begin playing every game soon my team should be one of the more exciting around. Stay tuned for posts about the Offseason.
