im thinkin of moving to this type of Offense. I just dont know what the hell you have to do to run it effectiveley. Do your personel have to be good at running after the catch in order to run a compression Offense ? Im using Tampa Playbook. can anyone help me out ? Of course im using my Ravens.

Haha man, I'm learning this too, also with the Ravens. I just started using the Oakland playbook and so far its pretty good. Really for a compression offense you just need smarts, any recievers will due, and a good pass catching tight end also. Trips Bunch is good compression, look for a man to get picked off and look at someone with an easy in/out.

B: When does 301 come out?

If you can use compression as your base attack, then anyother style you run will be more effective. I mainly run compression, but I will switch to a Vert attack, Power Run, and what I call Straight up (what you see is what you get).

It all depends on what the D gives me. I dont want any player (no matter how many times I play them) to predict my play calling and scheme. Thats why I try to have lots of plays in different styles of offense. The only thing is that it takes time and lots of smarts to get this strategy down.

Ravens everywhere. LOL How do ya move the ball with them? I mean I love the TE's, jamal, and Mcnair. What adjustments do ya make when you use them? I wold love to use them.

williams and more each have 90+ jump, piss poor hands but they are nasty for quick passes and deep fade lobs. i love the ravens plus if you use ss like most, ed reed is the best.

I dunno, I'm not too bad when I actually use the ravens I can pass pretty well to Mark Clayton mainly and Derrick Mason if it's one on one coverage.

hmm compression offense... iused to run it and had pretty good success. (used raiders PB) the formations mainly are anything bunched (trips, WR tight, TE close to the line) anything compressed. heres what i didd.. used many short passes and hooks and slants, then pop in a run, sledom play action, and 1 or 2 bobmbs per game, so the d will respect the deep ball. practice, its a good offense, but if moved to bigger and better things with the west coast offense. PM if youd like to know more ;)

The funny thing is that the WCO and the compression is one of the same to a degree. Both are schemes that use marrying of routes and quick passing. If you look at every WCO playbooks you will find quite a few compressed sets. If you need to learn more..."wink" pm me...or better yet get the guide. LOL :D

I want to get the compression in which I have purchased pretty much all of the VG stuff and have been satisfied with their products. It's just I'm not very good at changing or moving around my cone to throw the ball to a different player.
I know the defense (Cov 3/ or man 2 deep) my opponent likes to run to I just highlight my go to guy from the start of the play.

But as far as reading the defense I get killed. I have 6 yrs of Madden experience I've played over 10 thousands games but moving that cone that's a no-no ~~~

I might still get it~~~

I dont see whats so damn about using the cone. You call high and just make sure your holding R2, then you can switch are whenever you want without letting go.

Man all I can tell you is you have to learn to read one thing at a time. Defensive line first, then Lb's, then the Secondary. I learned it in that order and now I can pick a D apart, otherwise I would still be in the same boat youre in.
