Hey everyone, first post here, looking to get some VERY basic information.

First of all, I have the version for gamecube, so I am making an assumption that it is pretty similar to that of the other current gen consoles, so if I ask a question, button combo's won't really help.

I don't know much about football, I know I like to watch it, and Madden is fun, and a few basic things, but thats about it, so I'm hoping to broaden my knowledge a little bit. Now as for Madden, I have a few questions.

1.) Can someone break down the different color of zone coverages and the color of the lines used in defensive plays? I think I have the gist of it, but a better knowledge would make me a better player I think.

2.) Can I have a few examples of using the more advanced controls. I blitz OLB sometimes, and I crash the line to make room for blitzs and things like that, but what about other stuff.

3.) How do I double cover a guy? I know I can do it just by controlling a safety or LB if needed, but is there another way to do it?

4.) Finally, what does the term "click on" to a guy mean?

Thanks a lot guys, hopefully you pros can answer this amateur's questions.

I'm new here myself. The guys on this forum know alot. They do all this stuff before the snap. I am only starting to get a idea of it. I do'nt know the advace pre snap buttons. But let me help you answer what i can.

I asked this a year ago.
Orange arrows - Blitz
Blue Arrow - Delay Blitz
Black Arrow - is to pretty much **** over to stop a screen
A plain dot - man coverage
yellow bubble - short zone drop (ussually on cover twos)
light blue oval - flats to prolly stop screens and quick outs
dark blue - deep zone coverage
purple - cover sidelines (or at least they try their best)

I think i covered every line and bubble

when your on the saftey you press triangle ( i know you have gamecube but its triable for ps2) then press the reciever you want to double cover and press the arrow over his direction (left or right)

4.) Finally, what does the term "click on" to a guy mean?

Never heard of that...if u find out let me know.
