So I'm making the switch from the standard 3-4 D to the Patriots D because I like the extra nickle packages. This question is for those of you who are experienced with the Patriots D...what are some of your favorite plays and setups that you use to bring the heat? So far I like the SS1 Zone Blitz, starting at DT and switching over to the blitzer once he gets through the line. Any other Patriots D tips?

I too like the Pats D. I use alot of 3-4 solid and I think it's called Gap Press. To pressure the QB, Nickel-Strong FS Blitz( Im not sure what it is called, but it sends the FS and LB). On Dime situations, DB Blitz (Nickelback goes with man coverage behind it) sometimes mix it up with a different play, it sends the same person, but it plays a zone in the back. Confuse the QB

I think the best way to put heat on the QB from using the Patriots D it to go to Nickle 1-5-5 and use under smoke.

I'm thinking about switching to the Pats book also. I'm just worried about stopping the run with the 3-4. Any one have any tips on stopping the run? Also which 3/4 package is best against the run...Under, over, solid, or stack?

vs 1 back BIG formation: SOLID
vs 2 backs: SOLID or OVER
vs 1back 3wr/1te: NORMAL
this is for against the run.
