Goaline plays

I just realized that my goaline d sucks. Anybody got some good goaline plays and startegies to stop the run and pass with less than 5 yds to go?

Goal line - RZ stop is pretty good if you freeze the D. The CB's are in flat zones, and when you freeze the D it gives it the same look as the CB blitz out of goal line. A lot of people see that and think "hey the flats are open!" but.. nope. :) This gives good coverage, decent pass rush, and average run stopping. You can improve the run stopping with line shifts and the commit feature.

3-4 Cover 3. Freeze the D and bring the safeties close to the line. Then control your best pass rushing OLB and blitz him. That works for me but I don't play online if that's what you're talking about.

If I suspect Run: 46 Ravens Blitz- pinch linebackers
If I suspect Pass: 46 Cover 2 (Cloud I think)
Pass or Run: 46 Cover 2 -blitz linebacker on near side

Y then R... It makes your defense stay in the normal formation and not go to where the WRs are.

I love playin 3-2-6 Cover 2..

pinch my d-line...triangle +left to bring my guys in the box..

bum my db's and manual move 2 guys in the yellow zone near my db's just in case they quick pass and I commit to the run...

so far in my last 5 games only gave up 3 TD when I was runnin this...

Why are you running a 3-2 defense inside the 5...

Here are two of my goal line defenses. VS the run I like to run, the Jam cover 1. I pinch the line (L1) +D-pad down. Then i loop line (L1)+ (R3) up. I place line backer and safety in the gaps (A) (B). Note if your opponet runs toss I would sugest freezing the defense, or manually scooting your db's out. My other defense is the RZ stop. Freeze D, blitz weakside spy. Place strong side spy in purple hook zone. This defense is pretty solid against run. But real good vs pass. Out of goal line.
