I'm a huge Dolphins fan and I can't not seem to get my secondary to cover anyone. I have been messing with the 3-4 playbook since the LBs seem to do a better job at covering zones. But if my opponent goes 4 wide I'm basically in trouble since I have to play a dime defense, usually cover 4. I've been messing around and playing LB, but I might have to play safety in order to have a chance of the deep threat. My question is, what is the best playbook to use with the Phins? Do you suggest blitzing more since my secondary is pretty week? I do a decent job in stopping the run, but my secondary is killing me. Thanks.

Defiinately Blitz. But not all the time. If you use the 3-4 book let me say the 2-4-5 is pretty damn good. There are some great blitzes there. I do not run it personally because I'm a multiple defense guy, but there is some really good shut down stuff in the 3-4 book. To start off, get yourself a good blitz from the 2-4-5 along with a good zone and a safe coverage from the 2-4-5. I know three from the 2-4-5 and know how to set them up but I'm waiting for those :) But to get you on track, I would get those three plays work on shifts with the line and backers to see how the play works. Then after that I would go to online, unranked with those 3 plays. You are developing a scheme. Start with those 3 and once you see how they work then you can begin to add on. You want things to look to same to your opponent so even if you are not blitzing it looks like you are.

Thanks for the tip LB. There are several good plays in the 2-4-5. LOL! I went online yesterday and utilized some of the man and zone blitzes in this formation and had my opponent confused at times. Giving up 10pts is better than my usual avg. of 24. :D
