Stopping The Colts

When im with my friends or online i can never stop the colts passing attack(well it probaly is the best on the game) But anyways i run with the Giants and i usually double harrison but it i do that they hot route Clark on a streak for an easy 10 yards. Then if i shut down the right side by shading right i still have to worry about Wayne Stockly and the flats!!! I was just wondering if someone could maybe share there knowledge on this and what they do.....

If you're playing someone good, then there really is no base defense that can stop the colts.

You really have to figure out your opponents tendencies, and set up your defenses to counter whatever offenses schemes they're using.

If they're hitting all areas of the field, then you have to mask your defensive coverages, and possibly drop some of your lineman back into pass coverage if they are passing a lot.

Run delayed bump and runs, and try to figure out if there's an area of the field your opponent isn't passing to, middle, flats etc, and choose your defensive plays accordingly.

Beating the colts means switching from man to zone, blitz, no blitz, covering deep passes all the time.

Manning can't scramble, and if your opponent doesn't run a lot, then make sure you set yourself up to defend well against the pass.

Its hard i have a lot of practice with d and thats my strong point dont let them get up early and make big plays or get out cause if you play just to stop them it dosent work play for big plays and you need to play man up on conners and get both saftys back there to double them up

well i also use the giants (mad potential) but i had a problem b/c wen i play pplz the offensive line callapses and i would get sacked or pressure....so i changed the play book to the colts offensive.. which helps maintain line.. i donno why but i tested it... i also use the bears "special defense play book.. i donno why i like it... soanyways i cant seem to stop my brothe ror friends when they use colts.. i win against other teams.. b/c for every team theres like at least 1 defensive play that almost always gets em... so ima try those tips.. but any1 got anything else.. im usually pierce mlb and play zone..i good wid him but i cant stop whole runs.. unless he scores(opp.) im new here os hit me up

The dude is right, I played vs many Colts players and all the time Harrison and Wayne beat my DBs.

The point is that in order to use Harrison and Wayne's speed effectively they need at least 2-3 second to escape their corners. In mid range attacks they are like any other good receiver, deadly speed and hands but coverable.

So blitzing from different angles, and zone blitzing will do the best damage.
