Offsides when audibling to B-n-r

why is is that when I coverage audible to bump n run I get called for offsides? I used to play a lineman but now I play lb and I still get called for it. I am hitting A then down on the L stick then X to audible then LT to reset. Any help would be appreciated.

this happens to me 3 or 4 times a game. it is a bug in madden. it isn't you that is offsides. when you call press covereage on the DBs the move up and usually one of the CBs will push the other CB over the line because they are trying to line up in the same spot. actually i have seen times where both CBs line up in the offensive back field.

it really pisses me off, now if the hard count gets me to jump i am ok with that but the fact i cant' call bump and run because my guys will knock each other offsides is just plain retarted.

you have to do it as fast as possible, from my experience, i've seen my guys go thru the wr's, and if the other guy sees that and quickly snaps the ball when you go thru the wr, it's an offsides penalty and a free play for ur opponent, it's a pretty crazy animation.

I thought bump and run was just the same as press: am I wrong? In order to enact the bump and run do you have to reset your formation after you've told your coverage to press?
