Sort of a general question. Everyone is good with different teams and PBs. Like for me, I can't run the run n gun. I've tried, can't do it. I agree that the Falcons can be the best team if used to full potential, but they're probably not the team I'm best with. (Thats probably Ravens, Chargers, or Jags)

Falcons are absolutely the best in the hands of someone who has excellent stick.

If you have little to no stick but you know the game pretty well, IE play calling, audibles, and general strategy.. the Colts are the best. Their passing game is insane.

If you're a rookie then use the Ravens. Their secondary will make plays for you and just jam on the highlight stick with Jamal Lewis.

To be honest all teams can be great...

its juts that you have to get to know how to use them...

as for PB again all can be great its just how you use it...

The falcons are for noobs.. sorry. 8 times out of 10 I'll beat anyone with the Falcons. I'll win more the I lose against ATL users. They are dangerous but my teams that I use is

Bengals
Giants
Jags
Jets
and Sometimes the Falcons

I usually use just Bengals,Giants and Jets and yes I will carve up the best defense's with WHO? Patrick Ramsey!!! trust me it doesn't matter it's all about personal preference.

Some of my boys over Xboxlive are SICK with the 49ers. Trust me. Use your team and learn their weaknesses and strong points. I can crave people up with the Jets and I'm most familiar with the Jets PB although I know the skins and Tampa real well as well.

use your team and get good. I'm yet to see someone really use the packers this year and use them good. I've seen 49ers,Cards,Oak,Bills and the users are some damn good ballers. They know their teams and expliot their weponds

Chargers
Bengals
Colts

I'm not going to say their the best, I'm just saying that those are the teams I know how to use and I use very well.

For playbooks I use OAK and IND.

On defense I use the 3-4, 4-3, 46, and Balanced D playbook.

I haven't given the Falcons a chance this year cause I thought
their personnel wasn't suitable for the 3-4.

To true.
If I had to pick one though I'd pick the Cowboys.

If you are not that strong with your stick on defense use the Ravens. If you don't move your cone (50 seks) well use the Colts.

playbooks if you like routes to already be put together for you use the Saints book. If you like to create matchup problems and know how to formation shift use the Raiders book.

This is obviously only my opinion, and an objective one at that, but I run with the Chargers and the SD Playbook for Offense and Defense.

People argue, "What about the weak Secondary?!" You can overcompensate for that with play calling and a dynamic front 7. Not to mention, it's very tough to get the Chargers Offense off the field because they have a couple of leapers in V. Jackson and K. Osgood, posession receivers in K. McCardell and E. Parker, the best running game in the league...TNT baby! (Tomlinson, Neal and Turner) Oh, and they have a pretty good Tight End too!

Panthers are probably the most balanced team. They lack a good TE but Gaines and Mangum can get the job done. RB's are good but not great. Smith will stretch the field and Keyshawn can catch the high pass.

Defensively you've got a killer front 7 that is anchored by Peppers who is the most explosive defender in the game. Lucas and Gamble hold down the CB spots really well and Mike Minter is adequate at safety.

The Eagles are a contender for top team. They need to tone Stallworth and McNabb down a little though.

Seattle playbook.

Falcons, all day. Just put Jimmy Williams at #2 CB and they're rediculous.
Falcons playbook.
3-4 defense.

My number two team is definately the Chargers. Weak secondary, but like that other guy said, you can't get their offense off the field.

I think the Chargers secondary gets a bad rap. Jammer can lock fools down and Cromartie is fast, big and strong. Just manual Jue and you should be good to go.

Depends completely on you... some people can only with with one team. Some can win with a few. Others can beat you with anybody.

Some PB's are better for one style of play, some are better for others. Depends on what you wanna do, how you wanna do it, and who you wanna do it with.

No one can answer this question for you... But if you ask yourself the right questions, you can figure it out for yourself.

They do get a bad rap, and I actually start McCree and Kiel at my safeties. Jue and Florence are in when I'm in my nickel or dime. It is a decent secondary, especiall when you take into consideration that the opposing QB has little time to throw with the heat that the front 7 provides!

Obviously, everythings an opinion here, well most of it at least. So, in my opinion, Steelers, just awesome. But, the dude who spoke before and said that any team can be great, u just have 2 work wit dat team for a while, and learn about them. So, just take ur pick!!!!!!!!

Overall I think the best teams are the Seahawks, Colts, and Steelers. Lots of really good teams though: Bengals, Jags, Giants, Cheifs, Chargers, Falcons, etc.

Best playbooks: Tennessee, Oakland, Seattle, Tampa Bay, Bengals, Washington.

I play with Cheifs, Seahawks, and Bengals. I use the Tennesse book- but Im thinking about switching depending on what I see in the compression 301 guide.

like most are saying... its more of the user than the team... but anyone can be dangerous with a good qb... so for me ive used 2 teams in 3 years of madden... detroit and then a few games this year with cinci... never knew what i could do with a good qb... wow....

Imo the best 3 teams are Colts ihate playing against em they get so much bs and the user is sitting there with a grin on his face like he has done something, Seattle presents problems Alexander and the other additions, Panthers their front 4, lbs, and corners are so solid its crazy. But truth be told its all in the user but these 3 teams a user only has to do a little.

Why do most of you choose the Oakland, Tennessee or Tampa Bay playbooks. Is it because of all the hype and threads, especially from VG and its moderators to push these offensive playbooks. I have only used SD for the past 3 years, and I know it is limited, but like a lot of you are saying it is what I'm used to and I really know how to use it. I was just wondering about all the hype around those 3 PB's, I also see a lot of Seattle PB users. Anyways, I was just wondering how you came about to using the PB you are currently running.

Oakland because of the formation shifting you can do to the single back tight. You can shift from just about any formation they have to this formation and it creates great route combinations. If you have 2 good halfbacks or a receiving FB you can cause problems. Say I call a play in the split black flex close and you come out in your base D (3-4, 4-3 etc). Then I formation shift to the single back tight. Now I got you in space with your LB's not to mention some nice rub routes to get my guys Wide open if you in man, or flood your zone. Its a great book, and if you get a chance check it out.

I think the Eagles are the best team on this game only thing they are really lacking is a dope wr. Their D is tuff. I run the Tenn Play book almost exclusively on O. On D I like Balanced, Cover 2, and New England (Some sick *** Blitzes).

Thanks BigFace, that was very descriptive. I should check it out, especially because I run with the Bolts, and having 4 good catching backs in LT, Neal, Turner and Sproles. That could be devastating. I don't really want to go through and learn a whole new playbook/scheme though.

I will probably get laughed at for this but I use the 49ers. Here are the reasons why:

1) While he is no Vick, Alex Smith has good mobility and throws very well on the run, especially to his right. His legs will give you first downs on occasions. Just remember that he isn't Vick.

2) Vernon Davis is very difficult for some people to deal with. Exploit his speed and you will rack up 200 yards receiving with him. He will often get matched up with LB's and safeties and his 92 Speed will make covering him a nightmare.

3) Frank Gore is a trucking machine. It is very rare that you will not be able to truck a CB or safety (unless it's Roy Williams or John Lynch).

4) The O-Line is very good, especially the left side. It's makes it a lot easier to run between the tackles.

5) You have the fastest LB in Madden. Manny Lawson has 90 Speed and is amazing at getting to the QB. If the QB does run away from him, he is probably just running into another LB for the sack.

6) Someone gave me the advice to make Tucker the #1 CB because he has 96 Speed. His awareness is garbage but he doesn't get burned simply because players shy away from throwing his way.

7) You also have 2 highly rated ILB's, which is nice for stopping the run and batting passes down.

Now, don't get me wrong, the defense is terrible unless you are willing to control them yourself. However, I find the offense to be really really good. Vernon Davis makes it so that you can win with just passing, though I don't suggest doing that unless you really have to.

2. D. Walker
3. V. Davis

FB

Yea it was hard to switch to a new book at first. But after you come on the forums and see what these guys are talking about you get curious. I am in a league and guys will catch on after a season if you run the same book. So after I won a championship last year using the Bengals book, I switched to the West coast. Then in the offseason between maddens I learned the Raider book. Then at the begining of this season I ran with the Saints book before going back to the Bengals book.

So with madden not changing the books at all this year, I have 4 books under my belt that I can go to. To be honest if you getting 3 online games in a day. It will only take you about 2-3 weeks to learn a new PB. It also keeps the game fun for me. I usually switch up my online team and book to make the game fun. Like last year I went with the Colts when I was learning the Raider PB. You need a large cone when you are trying to learn new plays.

Dont even need good backs, I come out in 4WR, then audible to the play I want, then form shift into SB tight
