OK, I have been practicing an on-sides kick and I can't even come close to succeeding. It either doesn't go 10 yards or go rights to a defensive player who catches it easily. I have tried different kicking angles, different kick strengths, etc...
Does anyone have any tips? I'm not looking for a hack (like the kicking along the sideline bs that's countered by a fair catch). Just where you should put the crosshair on the football and how much power to use. Even if it only works 10% of the time, that's fine. Just want some chance...

I like to aim the arrow right at the their second (from middle of the field) guy on the frontline. Then I'll drop the arrow just a litle bit off the center of the ball. I let the power come back down leaving only two or three of the sections filled This sometimes will work by bouncing the ball right off of their guys hands and into mine. I'd say this works for me about 22.344691% of the time.

Thats a pretty high percentage for onside kick recoveries.

I've been labbing this, but I haven't gotten many at all. The only times I am able to do it are when the ball bounces off the first guy on the left side. Aiming at the second guy on the line is tough - very small window. And if you miss you have zero chance cause it goes right into a crowd of defenders. Also, I'm not getting much of a bounce off the ground either. Maybe I need to try a different kicker...

i can get them 50% with the falcons or saints kicker 80% with the raiders kicker.. difference is that the falcons and the saints kicker the ball can bounce really high off the ground which helps me go and get it before it lands and raiders kicker is strong and i usually just kick the ball off the 1st person they "never" catch it.. its just if my team picks it up or not..

For right footed kickers, I aim the point between the middle of the ball and the lower-side. I then kick it about half power. I have had decent success with that.
