How about a feature where the running back can leap over the line when on the 1-2 yardline for the TD(ala LT)

I 2nd that request, especially if you can also allow the LBs to jump into them and cause the mid air spiral like when u try to dive over the line and your opponent dives too etc.

i third that witha passion man ive been wishing for this since 04 when i first got madden and ps2 i also would like gang tackling with like 5 guys just grabbing and teaming up then it wouldnt be so hard to play d against the stick

Yeh, gang tackling would be very good, but when the RB is 1on1 it may give him a larger advantage if they need to be gang tackled at times etc

I believe you can fly over the defense by tapping "X" when you are close to the goaline, at least thats how it is on xbox360.

Not in Ps2... But whenever I try to dive into the endzone, most of the time I never make it and I get smashed... Ive never seen bigger hits then when someone is in the air diving (like say the QB running for a TD) I always cringe hoping my QB isnt hurt.. I want the jump over the pile too.

You can jump over the line on xbox 360 and, if I'm not mistaken, on ps3.

yeah gang tackiling would be better especially when the running back is in the place where you tap X to escape the tackle. yesterday i had one guy trying to tackle me and i shed that one tackle and there was wide open space infront of me.

Agreed, Ive seen Larry Johson shed tackle and jump over a pile of like 6 guys and run for A TD.
