View Full Version : Giants killing me on sweeps-cant do nothing

I had no defence to beat this guy.
He swept 85 percent of the time.

started with various 3-4 than switched to dime then switched to 4-3 then switched to 46 and he crushed everyone with his giants, than I could not tackle the guy was I did touch him.

I could not do nothing. and he kept repeating the play over and over and over.

i don't get it

he gained 275 yard rushing on me. I was helpless. 43 points he got and only did 1 play action pass

Try a 4-3 Free Fire, put everyone OUTSIDE , then after play starts press the right analog sick down, should have no problem lol

What does free fire affect? the LBs?

Yes, makes one LB rush to the ouside then the middle dude in the 4-3 in the middle, just incase he calls a a or b hole play.

If you want A full rush to the outside pick like 3-4 OLB dogs fire, select both CB's and rush them... (R3 down). He should be stopped...

was his name closer21? might have been me... i remember gaining 275 exactly on the ground last session but i dont remember with what team.. the guy i was playing against did similar defensive switches... :eek:

Crash the line towards the strong side...then take control of the weak side LB and run over there after the snap to get an extra body in the mix. You can also put your strong side DE on a flat zone or contain zone.

Perhaps try putting your DEs in flat zone assignment. Try the 4-3-QB Contain play & the 46-Normal-LB Contain play, freeze the Defense so the outside CBs stay put on the outside. Actually you should freeze the Defense whenever you run zone and you want to contain the outside run, I always freeze the D no matter what though if I'm in zone. Try plays like 4-3-ManFlats as well. Blitzing the outer most CBs or safeties should work though for containment.

Run a 3-4, and send ur OLBs on flat zones, spread and loop the line and if you see it comin commit to the run. maybe send a cb. also i knoe it sounds crazy but a dime package is good for stoppin sweeps, blitz ur inside CB's while spreadin and loopin the line, take a safety and if they sweep it follow him out for extra insurance.
