so you hike the ball, no one is really open, theres a one or 2 man rush, you start to scramble, you wait and wait, no one is s still open, you throw it. its a pick. you hate yourself. do this situation sound familiar to you?

!~LISTEN~!its ok to throw it away! also if there is a rush, and you think you wont get a stable throw off, just throw it away! this will decreases picks and frustrations by 99%. accept that you failed this play and throw it away. 99% of the time you think youl force it and sneak it by, but it gets picked or you are SACKED on your A$$. ITS OK TO THROW IT AWAY

i see it to much....

practice self control and throw it away :) :)

feel free to ask if you want more details and help

My worst mistake would have to be when theres a go sooooooo wide open coming off of PA or his cut and you freak out and throw it to him before moving the cone over to him lol.

I can relate to that. But in my offense as long as I complete the pass it's a good play. But damn if I trusted my OL more I would actually look to the deep route on a PA lol.

why do i keep getting intentional grounding called when i throw it away at the sideline? does the pass have to go back to the original los?

make sure you're outside of the tackle box first.

i am almost to the sideline running out of the pocket. i understand the tackle box rule.

Then you shouldn't be getting intentional grounding calls. Maybe it's a glitch.

you dont even have to be outside the tackle box to throw it away anymore... If you're inside the tackle box and you throw it away, the QB will throw it into the ground near a WR, and it wont come close to a defender unless the QB is hit...

I tend to pass the ball fairly quick when runnin a PA, for some reason my mind just tells me to pass right away even if I dont see anyone pressure..

I agree with this thread. This is the one thing that i have been working to improve. Like if someone has been blitzing and then they drop back 7+ guys and you got max pro on throw it away. Its hard for me cause my instincts tell me to try to make a play. But if you watch real football they talk about QB's having to "manage the game"well. Ive noticed that if you protect the ball this year you usually win just like in real life.

amen. exactly what i mean, PROTECTING THE FOOTBALL is the BIGGEST key to winning. trying to make plays when you cant, will make you lose.

i ran pretty much to the sideline and threw it away once and got flagged for intentional grounding.

has anyone ever seen this on instant replay? when your qb's arm wasnt even in motion and the ball just magically comes out of his hand and goes directly to defender short even if you were intending to throw deep? I'm serious, its like it hovers straight up in the air and then fires to a defender!?!?!

It heppened to me two times, but my result was worse!

First time, the QB wasnīt even throwing the ball, and it just moved out of his hands and ended up a bunch of yards behind me, putting me on a 3 and 40 situation!!!

But second time was worse and funnier!

Second time it happened my team was in the DEFENCE, and the computerīs QB tried to throw the BALL but it moved out of his hands like if it was a DEEP PASS directed to HIS BACK!!!! LOL, and it ended at his own ENDZONE giving me a SAFETY !!!! ROLF!!!!!

Hahuahuahuahuhaahuuhauh that glitch was awfull and a lot of fun!

Happens to me all the time...

All my games usually the total score would total no more than 25 points and if I do lose its by 1 score.

ALWAYS will it be a stupid turnover...

Controling the game is the truth, but sometimes when Im clock watching I feel like a douche and instead of grinding away with the lead, I throw an INT

Happen for me against Buccs, Simms threw this bullet pass, i start to go deep with my Safety, just presumed it was a deep ball cos it went to high, then the camera moved and the chase was on, think abraham won the race for the INT since the ball was 2/3 yards short of the endzone. Was a nice TD :)

dont you hate when someones WIDE OPEN!! NO ONES STICKING HIM but ur under pressure and u press the wide recievers button (like circle or square) and u press it like 3 times and qb just sits there not throwin at all then u get sacked for a big loss on 3rd down

that never really happens to me, because you have to time it. the qb isnt going to throw it EXACTLY after you hit the button you have to give him like 1-2 secs. to throw it. whenever i play with my friends then always say "well he wouldnt throw it" or "can you throw it please?" then isay well the qb is not going to throw it right away. then they say "well thats kind off unrealistic." its like, ok go outside and show me how you can throw a football at light speed while a 250lb man is tackling you.

i just laugh in their face:cool:

you have to be careful when throwing the ball away. Whenever I use vick, and try to scramble away and throw the ball away, I get an intentional grounding for some reason, even if I'm close to the sideline.

Sometimes I like to run backwards, and just hit the r1 button so they won't call intentional grounding.

you will get called for grounding no matter where you are if you throw it away past the line of scrimmage:p
