D pre-snap adjustments

Hi all, long time reader now need some basic help...
starting to learn playing madden on my 360 it looks like the manual is missing something...
1) Is there any defensive adjustment pre-snap that is not in the manual ???
2) The L stck for coverages work BUT I tryed LB (for the DLine) RB (for the LB's) or A (for the Safeties) + R stick and it looks that nothing happen..am I missing something ???

I'm on ALL-PRO level with Playmakers sliders and it looks like the CPU is able to brake blocks, crash my O Line to sack my QB and stop all my RB rush and I can't do it on Defense...I use the Panthers and mix zone and man coverage...I can stop the rush but I have troubles with the passing game...B'n'R is not very effective...

what should I lab ????

The manual is dogpoo. EA has cut content there to save money over time... I might be missing something here, but pre-snap on D, there are basically a few things you can do:

1) shift line one of four ways
2) shift LBs one of four ways
3) shift secondary one of four ways
4) select/move which player you want to manually control
or 5) audible your D to one of your pre-sets only and then start over with 1) through 4)

You can now Group playmaker (all LBs to blitz) and use Unseen group shifts (e.g., line stunt or loop)
