Hello everyone, I hope you can help me with this problem.
I've been playing against my friend online for a couple of weeks now, and I have a big problem because I just can't seem to stop his outside run. He is using Giants playbook and he is absolutely killling me with one particular play, and that is singleback big- HB stretch.
I am using 3-4 as my basic defence (which should be good in stopping outside run) bu that is simply not the case here.
I tried all zone coverages, changed all 3-4 formations (normal, solid, under, over), also i changed all good 3-4 teams (pats, steelers, chargers) but I just simply cant't stop this attack. Oh btw he is playing all the time with panthers.
If anyone have any solution to this problem please help!

What i would do is run some sort of 3-4 zone mostly Cover two where the OLBs will be covering the flats. Make your OLB on the side he's running to Contain (Down on the Right analog stick TWICE) and blitz with your weak side MLB to stop any PA rollouts that way and keep the other two LBs in their zones.

Also, Try running the Ravens using the 3-4

thanx for a great advice :)
we played last night and he tried the same thing but I countered it with 3-4 cover 2 and "commit" button.
Needles to say that this tactics stopped him completely.
he scored only one TD and the final score was 17-7 for me :D
