I haven't played Madden for two years and I just picked up a copy of Madden '07. I couldn't stop this one passing play my friends keep doing and I just realized it's called the "angle fade route." How do you stop this?

Alot of people like to use the angle fade or corners to expose the outside of a defense. I had a big problem with that for the longest time. Put a corner or linebacker in a hook zone (Purple zone),...that usually stops the corner or fade everytime. Especially if you use a CB.

2 Man Under, Triangle then UP on the right analog stick to spread the safeties out.

The 1st guy was right. If you just do triangle and up then you'll have a lot of passes caught right in front of your safeties. the purple zones work like a charm.

The angle fade looks very similar to the slant out, except it is at a more flat angle. I stop it with a Flat zone with a Nickle back or LB in a hook zone. A lot of times a player will put strong pass lead to the sideline and cause the route to be a bit shorter, and thats why I like to have a man in the flats (like a cover 2, with CBs in flats), a lot of times when the player forces that pass, the Flat zone cover man will tip it up or pick it off.
