Have any of you ever gotten splitting headaches immediately before or during busting a nut?

Wish I could help you out with this, but there will be none of that busting a nut thing going on in my house. I have been weined. I am now a sexual camel. I can go a year without.

Nope, but I have pulled a mean cramp in my calves a few times and fell off the bed in pain. I gotta remember to stretch out. :)

You might want to check with your DR. It could be a blood pressure issue. I am no DR., but that is what it sounds like to me.

Who gets headaches during sex?

*
Sexual headaches can occur at all ages, but are most common in the early 20s and between 35–45 years of age (Neurology 2003;61:796–800).
*
Men are three times more likely than women to have sexual headaches.
*
Sexual headaches tend to occur during male, but not female, orgasm, and during female but not male masturbation.
*
Sexual headaches are also more common in people who already suffer from migraine or tension headache.

Why the headache occurs

Sex can cause various sorts of headache.

*
At the moment of orgasm there can be a sudden, severe pain. This is probably due to contraction of some of the small blood vessels in the brain, similar to migraine, and in fact half the people with this type of headache are also migraine sufferers. This pain generally lasts less than an hour, but may be gone in 10 minutes or linger for a few hours. It may be, throbbing, dull or stabbing.
*
Less commonly, as sexual excitement increases, some people experience a dull, cramping, tight feeling at the back of the head. This is probably due to excessive contraction of the muscles of the neck.
*
If you suffer from migraine, you may find that sex triggers a migraine attack. This headache will be identical to you ‘usual’ migraine. It occurs after sex, but not during sex.

Rico - Yeah, I had that for a year or two, got headaches after "nut-busting" and also heavy weightlifting. Went away on its own, but I did get checked out. I am a doc, so I agree Whigs that you should see yours, and make sure you don't have high blood pressure or another problem - but it's probably going to be fine.

I've had it before but never with. . . umm. . . another person so to speak. And that went away after awhile. So hopefully this will too.

I'm pre-hypertensive which probably doesn't help.

Ahh, you probably just weren't getting any then... :D

Seriously though, the mechanism is the same, and it's most likely benign, what they call "coital headache" - which actually can come from jerking off too... BUT - you need to bring it to the attention of your doctor to get "organic", meaning real medical causes of these types of headaches.

What type of Dr. are you J?

Dermatology... the wise man's specialty. I'm in the middle of my residency training. Derm, like a lot of other specialties, makes you do a full year of internal medicine "internship" after you are done with med school and before you start dermatology residency.

HA HA HA....
So you should be telling him how to care for the skin on his nuts or how to remove an ingrown pube! LMAO

Don't mind me I'm the village Idiot. Its all in fun. I just have a warped sense of humor.

But seriously the man knows his chit. Better get checked out or quit bustin' a nut.

Good. Headaches are a funny business, and it could be nothing, but better to check than not.

RicoVacilon

So I saw the neurologist today and along with some blood tests he also wants a brain MRI and MRA because these headaches could be a sign of an aneurysm. Way to start my weekend.
