What do you do if you know the guy is passing

What defense would you use?

I get burned no matter what I use. Even when I know they are passing. They just seem to get pass to a receiever.

How do you stop it?

Pass commit, spread and loop line, blitz a LB or two, drop safeties, and maybe bump n run

Thats what I usually do on 3rd and long

You cant give the QB time to throw deep

Pick any Nickle play (preferably zone) and then shift you line right (L1 + Right), then Crash them right (L1 + R3 right), then take your fastest/smallest LB and put him on the right hip of your Strong Defensive Tackle (the Tackle on the side of the TE, or if no TE, the side of the most receivers), at the snap, blitz him up the left hip of that same Tackle and then smash the QB in the mouth. If you want, you can blitz the guy into the line, then back him off into coverage, this still allows the DE to come of clean. Your sack will either come from your LB up the middle, or from your DE.
