CB's in loose coverage

Played a cat the other night. He somehow was able to put his CB's in loose coverage but it didn't affect the safeties. The CB's played about 4-6 yrds back, but the safties stayed at normal depth. He didn't manually move his corners back. Does anyone know how to do this?

Simple. Coverage audible button, reciever he's covering button, then up on the D-pad. You can also press down for tight coverage.

I usually do this for my opponent's fastest reciever, since 80% of Madden player's game plans consist of nothing more than run, run, and play-action throw it deep to the tall, fast guy.
