Smart routing the fade route???

Do any of you have this problem? When trying to "hot route" the FADE sometimes it works sometimes it don't! The WR's route will extend to the 1st down marker and at times it just doesn't respond. Any solutions???

Yea I know what he's saying, but I never put in the lab time to figure out why. In certain formations you can smart route routes on one side of the formation but NOT the other.

It all depends on the wr alighnment and distance. They have to be off the line of scrimage.

Untrue. I have formations where the WR is on the LOS and you can smart route him.

Ive noticed this too. I think EA prevented certain routes from being extended in certain situations. I don't know though.

I think it has to do with the players alignment and the down and distance......because if it is 3rd and 5 or shorter and you smart route it it will extend all the way to the sideline giving you the angle ade from last year.....sometimes you have to motion WRs to the opposite sde of the formation to extend it...it just takes labbing to figure out how it works for each formation

Ive noticed that about the fade too. One time i was labbing and i found some random play that if you hot route a fade and smart route it inside the 15 the WR would run to the back pilon in the corner. For the life of me i cant do it again. Anyone else seen this or was i tripping that night in the lab?
