just played a game falcons vs ravens im falcons. this guy had 4 plays. 3 of them were from i think strong i twin te and he also had a multi wr set.

he drove the ball down the field on me almost every time taking tons of time off the clock. he had strong i twin te stretch, dive, and a PA deep. every run play he would highlight stick atleast 1 defender. EVERY TIME. lewis and smith combined for 25 BTK. despite all the highlight sticks, he only fumbled once, even though i got some good hitsticks on him. and the one time he fumbled he recovered. he would just keep running the stretch play every time and if he got in a short yardage he would call dive, and every once in awhile he would PA deep, but i had that locked down.

i was calling 46 inside blitz, 46 2 man under, 46 cover 3, 46 bear 2 man under, 46 bear outside blitzes, and goaline corner blitzes, most of the time i would shift both my lbs and line towards the strong side, and he would just keep running there. highlighting his way to a 5-7 yard average.

HOW DO YOU STOP THIS? 25 BTKs is rediculous. he ended up winning in OT on a field goal, but if i could just do even a slightly better job of stopping that i would win. although i did get a little unlucky with the fumble and on the last play of regulation jenkins dropped a wide open TD to win the game, i gotta be able to stop that

the formation looked kind of like this

I------- x--xxxxxx-------I
I-------------x----x------I
I-------------x-----------I
I-------------x-----------I

the Is are the sideline. the wr was in, not out at the sideline. the second te was located one step back off the line and a notch to the right of the 1st te in the diagram it looks like hes backed off a ways like it would be a full house formation but he is closer to the LOS.

I don't know man, I run with the Ravens and it doesn't take THAT much to stop lewis. He's pretty slow. If you can force him outside that's ideal. What I'd do is come out in 4-3 and stack the LB's. I haven't seen lewis break that many LB tackles. That's not much but tell me wut u think okay?

He's right, i play with the Ravens because i live in B-more and really the only way i think you can stop him is blitz uo the midde and get your D line to pinch in. If you force him outside, he will be very easy to stop. Also, make sure that you make sure when Musa Smith is in the play because if you force him outside he will have the break away speed.

Ask for more ?s

he was running a the majority of the time to the outside. now that i look back at it it was not a stretch. the reason i thought this is because pretty much the main runs that had the hb sidestep before he got the handoff on ps2 were stretches, but now they do on a lot of other runs. but he was still running outside the majority of the time

Something I've been doing lately to slow down the runners is manually take Malloy and and rush right between the gaurd and center to the side I think ther're running to. I also spread the linebackers. I also pull the coverage off just in case its a playaction I do this all out of the base defenses (3-4, 4-3, 46). This method seems to allow one of the d-lineman to come free to stop the runner. This seems to keep them under around 3 yards a carry and every now and then, I get a stop on inches-to-go.

I think the formation you posted is I-form close. Not sure though, but it looks like it.
