FIRST OFF MAD PROPS TO LB RULES, GREAT POST!!! I've been having so much fun on defense b/c of this one blitz. I like to mix up like 6 or 7 plays from the QUARTERS SET WITH MY LINEBACKERS AS MY PACKAGE. That fire blitz does a pretty good job of slowing down the goaline newbs! But I would recommend using the same set up with different sets ups. Look for plays that have some sort of containment from your DE'S, or BLITZES from your Corners who would be linebacker if you use that package.DB CONTAIN can be a pretty nice play if you stack and pinch your line.

This play may ruin online Madden for the rest of the year. If enough players use this defense, I don't know how anybody's going to consistently move the ball. Period. I felt really bad using it last night against a guy in a hell game. I was down by 3 late, needing the ball back for the game winning drive. He wanted to run the clock out, and he ended up 4th and 21 after three straight runs against this front. After that, it was an easy TD for the win. Playaction passes don't even have a chance to be set up against this front. Amazing.

It will not ruin it. This play has alot of weaknesses. I just didn't discuss them because I'll let the goal line abusers get eaten alive with it for now. But it does have alot of weaknesses.

Actually you can stop the FB dive with it, if you use the Run Block destruction techniques with the LB. You can get off the block in no time. There is another play out of Goal Line that it does not do well against.

Yeah this blitz can be beaten for decent five yards gains or more if you call the right play. I know this b/c last night Cedric Benson was doing me dirty! He wasnt running HB OFF TACKLE, but it was another run from goaline that gave me trouble. The thing I love most about this blitz is how the qb gets sacked when trying to hand off to the running back for OFF TACKLE!!!

Ha and last night even tho I lost, I shut down "QUICK FADE," from using this blitz! This is a nice defense to call if its 3rd and more than 15! YOu have to have good stick skills with the SAFETY'S or CB'S THO!

Can someone fill me in on what this defense is? I have been playing a few dudes who have been getting crazy pressure on Rivers and I've been trying to prep around it.

Please PM me, it looks like it is from Quarters or 3-3-5. What play do you call? I don't know how to set it up, I just want to know so I can practice against it on All-Madden.

Its called "FIRE BLITZ" I think. I know its from the Quarters Package. There are alot of plays to counter this blitz. Alot of quick passes from Shotgun will slow this blitz down and alot of screen passes will destroy this defense. This blitz does ruin the game or nothing like that, it just helps out against the goaline newbs......:p :p :p :p

Ok, just wondering because I was looking for a good shut down play if I can figure this out, I'll have to lab it a little later. Some guy kept running out of one of the "Weak I" formations, but instead it was basically like goaline because the receive lined up on the line and he would always sub in a TE in wideout spot.

I played a guy last night that just destroyed this Blitz with a goaline offense (he must have found that one play that this blitz has no effect on)... he ran for almost 400 yards with Shawn Alexander (but I did win the game 61-63)!!!!... it is not foolproof by any stretch of the imagination

Then why did you keep running the play.........
